The console does not scroll so it will not let me set anything. It will scroll pre and then cutout.

Press menu
Scroll down to installation press ok
Scroll down to first time installation press ok
Scroll to yes press ok

To reset the pass code follow these steps:

1. Sign in using your Xbox Live-enabled gamertag.
2. Scroll right to settings and select Account.
3. Scroll right to Your Information and select Account Security.
4. Select Change Password.

If that doesn't work you can always reset the console to factory settings by following these steps:

1. Scroll left on the Home screen to open the guide.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select All Settings.
4. Select System.
5. Select Console info & updates.
6. Select Restore factory defaults.
7. Read the warning message, and then select Yes.

On the PS3 start-up screen, scroll all the way to the left.
Now move across right one tab - this is settings.
Scroll up to the top. Scroll down 5 tabs - this is system settings (should have a little spanner and box).
Press X.
Scroll to the top. Now scroll down 2 tabs. This is system language.
English (UK) is near the top. Press X.

Sorted.

Go into settings and click restore settings. You dont need to back-up anything unless you format which I recomend to if the problem presists after you restore settings.

click the arrow button in the bottom right hand corner. scroll to the last page. The settings options will be on this page.

The colour system setting on the tv didn't match with your wii. e.g. if you have US/*** wii, you can set colour system to NTSC on the tv. or PAL for Europe wii.

There's no button per-se that you turn on.

Connect the wireless adapter to the back of your Xbox and plug the cable into the USB slot.

The next thing you do is to turn on the Xbox and go to the System blade and press the A button.

Scroll down to Network settings and press the A button again.

Select configure network and you will see the basic settings. Press the A on basic settings then select scan for networks.

The scan should detect your wireless network and the configuration information will be displayed.

Verify the displayed information is correct and be sure to enter the pre Shared Key if you have security enabled on your wireless router.

Low pressure cutout switch defective or the system needs refrigerant.

Under settings scroll all the way to the bottom to network settings. then go to internet conection settings and you will configure the hook up. and dont forget to sighn up for the playstation network towards the right where the blue ball is on the ps3 menu if your going to play or do anything online. hope this helps

the same thing happened to me with my toshiba that has vista and i had to manually install the touch pad driver off of the disk. hope that helps.
