Are you trying to get over the air channels? IF you are does your TV have the digital tuner on analog? TV went digital and if you have an analog tuner will need either e new TV or converter box.

Testimonial: "Just normal free to air tv,just standard stations, seems in the morning i turn it on and channels will come on and about an hr or so later it just comes up weak or no signal, and it says plug in aerial cable but its all plugged in"

I decided to re-tune all the channels. Now I have only half the channels. I have tried to re-tune, with the same results. Manual re-tuning will not accept the wanted channel numbers. Please help.

It could be a signal strength or signal quality problem - too strong a signal is as bad as a weak signal.

Retuning using a different aerial with a known performance would prove that. Once retuned with all channels present and stored in the memory you should find the original performance using your own aerial is restored.

Tuning new tv channels

You can't just tune the new channels on most Tv You have to tune the whole set, go to settings select D T V and ok. If you have done this and still have missing channels the signal me weak, you may have to buy a high gain aerial.

Will not tune in channels on auto store

Well, there's your answer then. You have poor aerial signal so the TV cannot lock on when tuning. You need to sort out the reason why there's "Poor or No Signal" You need to fix the aerial, not the TV. I would have thought that was self-evident, surely?

What kind of aerial are you using. Do you know it works? Check out the aerial cables for breaks or badly fitted connector plugs.

I lost a few digital channels on an old LG LCD, tried to auto tune but could not retrieve. Followed a tip online that said to auto tune with the antenna cable which will wipe all saved channels, once...

hi your signal could be to strong, on the aerial cable the thin brad rap 4 strands around the center solid pin then retune in auto, if this does not work you may to manual tune it in, or get someone to check your aerial and you could try a firmware update on your tv hope it helps

Hello .i have a lg tv which i purchased in 2008 and only watched videos,i now want to watch tv i have tried auto tune and it only finds 3 vhf channels and none digital.it has preview built in but i can not...

if it has freeview built in its usually programmes itself try turning it on and go into the menu and there should be an auto tune function hit that and it should tune up but remember it needs to be connected to an aerial if it still says no signal try moving the aerial, getting a booster for the aerial they usually plug into the mains then into the back of your tv and you plug your aerial into that to boost the frequencey if that doesn't work then you might need to think about getting a new aerial but you can get 1 for under £30

I have recently moved areas. my toshiba regza 37'' does not tune into the free view chaneels everytime. even when it does the quality is awful. sometimes it does not tune into the bbc related channels....

The most likely problem is the aerial system you are using in your new location. It could be either the position of the aerial needs to be adjusted or the cable coming from the aerial has a problem, check the end connector that goes into the Tv to make sure it is wired correctly. Also check with your new neighbours to find out what quality of reception they have, it's possible you may in a "weak" zone for picking up a freeview signal.
