Good answer this has an automatic transmission? If so the drink holder have you ever spilled a drink there are electronics that can become intermittent.

first thing is have a load test done on the battery
next ensure all the battery terminals are shiny clean and tight
next have the alternator bench tested by an accredited auto electrician
check the drive belt for condition and tension

Standby light blinks seven times. Set will not turn on.

Hello
Your TV has a horizontal deflection failure problem. This may be due to Horizontal Output Transformer, or its driver transistor failure. You just do one thing. Disconnect it from AC mains, wait for some time, say 5 minutes or so, then reconnect it again and switch on your TV with its power switch, and see whether it working or not. If not, open your TVs back cover, after disconnecting it from the mains power supply. Horizontal Output Transformer {FBT}, otherwise known as Line Output Transformer [LOT], can be seen prominatly on the circuit board. It is a high frequency stepup transformer, that give all the working voltage to build up screen in the picture tube. It looks like a cylindrical in shape, and one of its wire will be seen sucked to the top of the picture tube with the help of a rubber ******.
Beside the above said LOT, very near to it, will be a transistor, horizontal output transistor, which in turn drives the LOT, can be seen screwed to a heatsink. If thei transistor gets leaked, collector to emitter, or base to collector, whichever may be,it will give an effect of direct short to the secondary positve power supply rail, ie 135vDC regulated supply. This may be the first rason for a seven times blinking in Sony TVs.
The second reason is LOY itself has a shorted winding developed inside. While the above said transitor fault can be measured with the help of a multimeter, LOT trouble cannot be measured by normal methods. If LOT has shorted windings insie, it will also cause a short to the above said supply rail, and will give seven blinks. You just solder out the above said transistor from the circuit board, ad replace it with a same type and humber. Switch on the Tv for a short period of time, say 30 seconds or so, plug it out from the AC mains, and touch with your bare fingers on the trasistor we have replaced, and feel its heat effect. It may be warm, but not too hot. If TV works this time you can make sure that the transistor was faulty.
If it turns very hot during this short period of time, make sure that the LOT has got damaged. Replace it with the same type and number. OK.
Take every precautions before opening your TV. As high as 28,000VDC points are there inside your TV while it works. Keep chlidren away from you, not even allow them to stand beside you, and allow an adult to be there eith you. Each time you contact the tv, make sure that it is pluged out from the wall socket.
have any doubts inform me through fixya. OK.

How many miles or time period between oil change is recommended for Acura 2006 MDX? Is synthetic oil recommended or required?

Depends on driving style. Dusty roads? Lot of stop and go? Lot of short trips under 5 miles? Then 3000 miles is a good interval. If it's all highway miles then you can stretch it to 5000 miles. Synthetic is always better because of it's resistance to breaking down and loosing it's lubrication abilities. Hope that helps. I'm not sure if it's required in that car.

2003 Toyota Corolla oil pressure light flickers then goes to solid after a short period of time. Last time this happened, changed oil and filters and light went away. Now after maybe 1000 miles of driving,...

see if you have any oil level or pressure sensors. sometimes these can get gunked up. You may need a new oil pump. I suggest you start using a senthetic oil (valvoline, mobil 1 is reccomended) after u get the problem fixed.

I seem to be going through a lot of gas in a short period of time. I have 3 adjustment screws on my Homelite XL 10515A chainsaw. which one controls the fuel flow and which one the idle speed

Two of the screws are fuel related: H = high speed and L = slow speed. The third is idle speed and is a limit stop for the throttle lever. Turn both mixture screws in CW to stop (lightly), and back out CCW 1-1/2 turns each. Start with H needle after engine warm-up. Open the throttle full and adjust CW until you reach highest speed with 4-stroking, but smooths out when cutting lightly. Allow to idle, and adjust L needle CW for smooth idle, but rich enough to allow engine to follow the throttle. Adjust idle speed screw to allow the chain to stop turning. Make sure to clean the air cleaner before this procedure.

My headlights and stereo stopped working. All fuses check out ok and all other electronics work fine. Break lights, turn signals all ok.

No solution from me - - - I have the same problem... sort of. My headlights will come on for a short period of time If I tilt the steering wheel all the way down... Then after about 15 minutes they will turn off again... Then I tilt the wheel to the highest level and they come back on for another 15 minutes or so... The highbeams work without problem. This all began when the cable to my parking brake snapped...

TV won't turn on

Until I actually get my hands inside one of these sets, I can only guess that you have a shorted component keeping the power supply from operating. If it weren't for all the Tv's that the *MART stores are selling the would be a lot more TV repair shops go out of business. Generally you don't want anything electronic with that brand name associated with it. Sorry to be so glum.
