Service tool modeHow to access
1. Select [SRV-TOOL] in Service Mode.
2. Press [OK] button on the remote control.
Display of SOS History
SOS History (Number of LED blinking) indication. From left side; Last SOS, before Last, three occurrence before, 2nd occurrence after shipment, 1st occurrence after shipment.
This indication except 2nd and 1st occurrence after shipment will be cleared by [Self-check indication and forced to factory shipment setting].POWER ON TIME/COUNT
Note : To display TIME/COUNT menu, highlight position, then press MUTE for (3sec).
Time : Cumulative power on time, indicated hour : minute by decimal
Count : Number of ON times by decimal
Note : This indication will not be cleared by either of the self-checks or any other command.Exit
1. Disconnect the AC cord from wall outlet.
Hotel mode
1. Purpose
Restrict a function for hotels.
2. Access command to the Hotel mode setup menu In order to display the Hotel mode setup menu, please enter the following command(within 2 second).
[TV] : Vol. [Down] + [REMOTE] : INPUT (3 times)
Then, the Hotel mode setup menu is displayed.
3. To exit the Hotel mode setup menu Disconnect AC power cord from wall outlet.

Self-check indication only:
Produce TV reception screen, and while pressing [VOLUME ( - )] button on the main unit, press [OK] button on the remote control for more than 3 seconds.

Produce TV reception screen, and while pressing [VOLUME ( - )] button on the main unit, press [MENU] button on the remote control for more than 3 seconds.
Exit
Disconnect the AC cord from wall outlet.
Power LED Blinking timing chart

When an abnormality has occurred the unit, the protection circuit operates and reset to the stand by mode. At this time, the defective block can be identified by the number of blinks of the Power LED on the front panel of the unit.

reset factory settings

  1. Hello please try the below steps to reset the printer:
    1. Hold down the "Resume" button on your Canon printer for one to two minutes, and then release the button. In some instances, this may reset the printer automatically.
    2. Unplug the power cable from the back of the Canon printer if the printer did not reset when you held down the "Resume" button. Hold the power button down and plug the power cable back into the Canon printer. Do not release the power button.
    3. Press the "Resume" button on the Canon printer two times and release the Canon's power button. The Canon printer resets to the factory settings and the ink level should appear full.

Canon MX328 error display 5b00

Good Day Atzkie!

The error 5B00 in Canon MX328 is a waste ink tank full. The printer detected the number of times that the cartridge has been refilled and counted the volume of the waste ink that flows out from the cartridge to the absorber pads.

You can clear the error on the printer using a MP reset tool. This tool will reset the counter for the waste ink tank.

First of all you will need to download this MP328 tool and run it on your system.
To download, go to http://www.ziddu.com/download/15321203/MP328.exe.html.
Click the download button, then, enter the verification code before hitting another download button.
Click the save button to start downloading.

This is the procedure:

Connect first your printer directly to your computer via usb cable.
1. Make sure the printer is recognized by your computer.
2. Make sure that printer is set as default printer.

Set your printer in to Service Mode
1. Turn off the printer.
2. Press and hold down STOP/RESET button (red circle with inverted triangle)
3. While holding down STOP/RESET button, press and hold down ON button (power on button)
4. Release the STOP/RESET button while holding still the ON button.
5. While holding down ON button, press twice the STOP/RESET button
6. Release the ON button.
(On LCD control panel it will display Service Mode. Wait for a few seconds to display "IDLE" - that is the time when printer is set to Service Mode)

After setting the printer into service mode, run the MP328 tool.

Run MP328 Tool
1. From your download folder. Double click the MP328.exe to display the Service Tool window.
2. Once Service Tool window appear, press the MAIN button.

(It will take sometime to finish the transaction. You will see that the "IDLE" message disappear during the process. You will hear sounds from a series of movement inside the printer. Once finished, it will display "A function was finished") Click the button

3. Press the EEPROM Clear button

After the procedure has finished, close the service tool window and restart your printer.
On your printer, it will ask you to set the language and country for final setup.

u cam reset ur only by the following way.

In order to enter Service Mode, TV guide must be turned off

In order to do this procedure you must have and use the correct remote. The full function remote that

came with the set has a TV Guide Logo in a red box. This is the remote you should use.


NOTE: If TV guide has not yet been setup, then the 1st step is to follow instructions to set TV guide up.

Enter ZIP code, cable or ant. Etc.



1.press and release the "TV Guide". TV guide will appear on the screen.

2.Navigate to the TV Guide tool bar and use the ">" button to select "setup" in the menu and press

and release the "enter" button

3.use the "arrow down" button to select "default options"

4.press and release the "enter" button and select "general defaults"

5.press and release the "enter" button (opens menu on lower left side)

6. use the "arrow down" button to select "auto guide"

7. use the ">" button to select "off"

8. use the "arrow down" button to select "done"

9. press and release the "enter"

10. press and release the "TV Guide" button to turn the display off



System Reset Using Service Mode:



1. Enter Service Mode

2. Use the "muting" button to select "initialize" screen

3. While on the "initialize" screen

4. Use the "down arrow" button to select "final setup"

5. Press and release the "enter" button to select "data reset"

6. Use the ">" button on the remote to select "yes"

7. Press and hold the "enter" button until the screen goes black release "enter" button on remote.

8. Power the unit off using the remote control

9. Unplug the power cord from the media receiver to complete the reset

10. Plug in the media receiver; turn the system on and reset is complete.

After the installation of a new A board, unit has the characters "CHK" on screen. The usual reset procedures of [VOL -] and [MENU] or [OK] or [SLEEP] will not get rid of "CHK".

1. Enter the service mode by holding down the [VOL -] button on the TV (main unit) and simultaneously pressing the [INFO] button on the remote control three times.
2. Press the number [2] key on the remote to highlight [SRV-TOOL].
3. Press the [OK] button on the remote control to select [SRV-TOOL].
4. Use the [DOWN ARROW] on the remote control to scroll down to [PCTC].
5. Use the [RIGHT ARROW] button on the remote to open the box to the right, then press and hold down the [MUTE] button on remote to display Time/Count.
6. Press and hold the [RETURN] button on the remote control until the TV turns off.
7. Immediately press and hold down the [VOL -] button on the TV (main unit) and the [MENU] button on the remote. The TV should come up in the Self Check mode.
8. Remove AC power.
