Some ac units portable or other wise use a program where it starts on full cool and as the humidity is removed from the room the program changes to less cool or switches off for periods ( called comfort mode on some units and is used for sleeping where the room temp is maintained and does't get colder as the night goes on)
try and down load a operators manual from the net

SOURCE: Comfort Aire PAC-121 problem

E4 shows up on the screen on my PAC-121 when the water reservoir on the right-hand-side is not pushed in all the way. If it is in all the way the switch that it engages may be bad or out of place.

the e2 error on your thermostat is a problem with the return temp sensor on your system, the only thing you can really do is call a company and replace it, you can't bypass it or remove it cause the system wont run properly

I live in a very small one room studio, and have a comfort aire window unit...air and heat. The heat works real well, but in the spring and summer,I would set the unit on the coldest setting.I can hear the...

Lets look at the output of the system first. Take your square footage of the area you are trying to condition and times it by 15. We try to get 15 Btu's per square foot of air conditioning. If your area is say 10 by 15, you have 150 square feet; times it by 15 = 2250 Btu unit is required. If you have a 5,000 Btu unit, it should be more than enough to cool the room. If this is correct, the problem may be because you have the unit set for Dry. In Dry mode, the compressor will cycle less frequently than if on Cool. If in fact the unit is on Cool, you may need to lower the temperature setting to fool the sensor from turning off the compressor prematurly. If you still can't cool the area, your unit has an issue with either refrigeration or air circulation and will need to be serviced.

B zone is only cooling to 49 degrees and leds at L3 and L4 are blinking at 1 second intervals at circuit card on outdoor condensing unit. Is there a service manual available for download?

Hi

The L3 and L4 lights are blinking means that the filter is dirty and obstructed. You’ll need to clean the filter. Also Inspect whether the evaporator air is blocked, remove the blockage. Check the air intake and outlet ducts of the condenser side are obstructed. Check both of the ducts. Check whether the unit is set on dehumidifying mode. Set at cooling mode, Set at low fan speed Re-set the fan speed at high speed and check.

However, if this doesn't help then it might have happened that the compressor is not runing and the connection to the compressor is cut. Please check the wiring diagram on Pg 22 in this manual---
