SOURCE: how to reset the temperature on the danby silhouette wine refrigerator

This happened to me, I found that the cooler would not go below 70 degrees because the cooler had lost its coolant or wouldn't work. I do not know, but as it was under warranty, an appliance repairman came and said that it was worth fixing, so it was replaced with in a week. Normally you would just hole the button in until the desired temperature is selected. Once released the cooler would attempt to set this temperature. If it is not, then I suspect it too is broken. Good luck.

SOURCE: E4 Code

Dear moriquenda
welcome to fixya.
Did you try resetting the system by pulling the plug and waiting 5 minutes then restarting the wine cooler? This may solve you problem.

Danby expects customers to call service and does not imagine the rest of the world being able to utilize these codes.
Closed minded, Huh?

SOURCE: danby wine cooler compresser not running and is hot

The compressor needs to be tested to see if it's operational. This normally needs to be done by a service tec.

SOURCE: Danby DWC283BLS Wine Cooler - Error message E3 & E4

E4 on danby designer wine cooler -
TEST your compressor: Cooler can be forced to operate and cool as a test.
Unplug unit from 115v receptacle.
Hold both temperature control buttons down.
Plug unit in 115v receptacle.
The cooler should start, but the thermostat will not stop the compressor. Now you got a freezer ! I do not know how to fix the E4 error yet.

How do I fix a 2 Whirlpool/Danby WWC287BLS 2 zone wine cooler with 1 zone that operates correctly at set temperature but the other zone gets way too cold (36 degrees) and the compressor keeps running.

Check to see if the thermostat is possibly being blocked by something. If one zone is working correctly there must be an obstruction or problem with the thermostat sensor.

I cannot set the temperature ... Keeps resting 75 degrees F

How long does it take to reset? What is the temp are you trying to set it to? How old is the unit? Has it always done this or just started?

I just bought a dual zone wine cooler. What temperatures should I set both compartments to?

Red wine should be stored between 58-68 degrees Fahrenheit and the whites should be cooled at 46-56 degrees.

Viking Wine Cellar Temperature Near-Freezing

Viking wine coolers are made by Marvel. They all had issues with freezing the contents. If you replace the electronic cold control system it will be fine.If you don't, it will freeze the wine popping the corks and leaking in the unit.If you get the parts from Marvell they are much cheaper.

What is the temperature setting for normal wine cooling?

It's between 55 and 65 degrees fahrenheit. If you're storing a lighter red wine, you'd want to keep it on the lower end (55 degrees). And for the darker (deep) red, you'd want to keep it on the higher end (65 degrees). All white wines should be on the lower end, and below. You can drop down to 50 degrees if you'd like. I hope this helps. Good Luck!

Three Temperature zones

Did you read the owners manual? It will be kind of hard to tell you because there are so many different settings for different areas.
