Tv will turn off after about 1hr then i can turn it back on but it might stay on 1 half hr then it goes off again and i have to turn it on again what is the problem

Kindly do not attempt to switch on the TV like this. You might damage more components/parts/boards. Look for any loose contacts in power outlet, RC jack, cable and socket. I think the TV needs servicing.
Sounds like the CRTs are going into protective blanking due to the vertical output ic needing to be resolderd. Try resoldering the vertical IC that may possibly fix the issue.
