Hi Eleanor,
Without a specific model number I can only give general information, but, Kenmore fridges are all about the same, so here we go. Take a close look at your unit. You should observe several small plugs inserted on the side of the doors that don't have the hinges currently mounted. These inserts cover threaded holes that are used to mount the hardware for the hinges. If your fridge has two doors one above the other. remove the top hinge hardware, lift the door up off of the bottom hinge pin. then remove the bottom hardware on the top door. Typically the mounting screws are either phillips head or 1/4" hex head machine screws. You should now see that there is now a threaded hole in the same position on that side as the plug in caps on the other side. remove the caps from the one side and insert them in their respective holes on the other side. the door hinges will attach to the now exposed holes on the side that the plugs were removed from. But not yet. First remove the top hinge hardware on the bottom door, lift the bottom door off of the bottom hinge, and then remove the bottom door hardware relocating the bottom hardware to the other side. Install the bottom door onto the hinge pin of the bottom door hinge. Close the door then install the top hinge on the bottom door. Next install the bottom hinge and hardware for the top door, set the top door on the installed hinge, close the door add install the top door top hinge and hardware next. Same with the door handles. All of this info applies to the doors and the fridge itself.
