Check the battery in the outdoor unit, resync them per the instructions, if that does not work check for interference.

I found that by having my weather station on my speakers it interfered with the signal from the outside sensor. Once I moved my weather station to a spot higher and off of the speakers it stopped blinking and started to work perfectly again. I hope this Info can helps.

Although operation forced to stop when abnormality detected, emergency operation is possible for certain errors (refer to Error Codes Table) by using remote controller or Auto Switch at indoor unit. However, the remote controller signal receiving sound is changed from one "beep" to four "beep" sounds.

Cannot get the outside temp to respond on a WS9047U-IT

Bring the outdoor sensor indoors. Take the batteries out of the sensor and out of the main unit. Wait 10 minutes. Put the batteries back in the outdoor sensor. Put the batteries back in the main unit. DO NOT PRESS ANY BUTTONS. Wait 10 minutes or until the outdoor temperature shows. Once the temperature shows you may use the buttons to set the clock, etc. If it does not show after 10 minutes, then try again.
