HDMI from new laptop is causing intermittent flickering.

Old laptop works fine connected to Sharp Aquas LC 46D65U. New HP 17 envy connected by same hdmi cable has intermittent flickering screen shuts between 1 and 2 seconds. Computer works fine on other tv's. .HP tech support says its not the laptop. TV's 5 years old. Tried 2 HDMI cables. one suggestion was to change the tv output to 1080i or 1080p opposite to current selection, but I havent figured out how to do that yet. Wondering if its a window 8.1 issue....windows 7 works fine on the old laptop.

My Internet connection/router works fine on all my other devices (iPods, iPad and other laptop) but as soon as I walk down the hall I lose the signal on new DV7 7240

Try downloading and installing the most recent Intel Wireless card driver and see if the problem persists:

New hp envy 15 My hp envy 15 is less then 12 hrs old, i am having a problem with the wireless connection. When i use my laptop in my living room where the modem is the wireless network works totally fine...

You may need a repeater /extender to amplify signal.

There are many variables that may cause network to drop. You might want to test another laptop before making any purchases.

Good Luck.

MY 2 WEEK OLD HP pavilion DV6 SCREEN IS FLICKERING It's start to flickers , did my virus scan everything was working so i restart and while it began to shut down to restart it started to...

wow, no OS stated, FROM VISTA to W10, impossible post this..
why say its new, its only new to you?, its really old, or is it and ENVY?
DV6 tells the helpers zero. or is it DV6-1000 very old ?
what DV6 ?, if you read the service tag, it has long model numer
like DV6-1234us?
that tells what it is.
Virus (1) tells you nothing, we run over 20 scanners to and malwarebytes to clean it, and more, if reloading OS is too painful
the you suffer virus cleaning pain, can take all day that.

see this list of DV6, see, it means near NOTHING.
its a notebook
and can be as old as...2009 so all are supported still, in the 10 year window of support.
the newest one is windows 8.1
example of one.
HP ENVY dv6-7300 Select Edition Notebook PC series

now Ill answer based on ZERO inputs, generic
all PC;s or notebooks
if the screen LCD has lines the LCD is bad.
if you gently twist the screen and it gets worse BINGO LCD
if not, then the LP has bad GPU. is this a 2008 Laptop
many that year had solder Ball failure on all GPUs.
if you go to bios , and press f1 (mine does to INFO PAGE)
tells you all years, there, see those years, tells you when its made.

see this one, (no ball problem here EVERY)
its 2009/10 bios and video card stamped dates.

http://pcdied.com/top-coveroff.JPG

see the read of your PC< see that VGA jack
does and external VGA desk top display fail there.
yes, GPU is bad (or the driver mangled) put back the HP driver now.
its free, on same page. as yours, at HP.com

here is a wild guess page, no pc stated so here,
see this. , go there and find yours, ITS THERE.

I have sharp 37 inch LC-37D44U MY PS3 is not working with it it green lights keep blinking power light and OPC. BUT THE HDMi ports work beacause i checked it with other devices. so i dont know why its not...

Does this happen when you input certain signals to the HDMI2_bing.gif ports? Or all signals (e.g. 1080i, 720p, 1080p, etc.)? And which ports are affected - side HDMI, rear component, etc.?

I had this issue and Sharp sent out a local repair tech to install a new main circuit board, then two weeks later, a new side board (where the side inputs connect into the system)... their first visit allowed my TV to accept signals in the rear HDMI ports (all signals worked well), but then I couldn't get a signal processed via the side HDMI port. At first, just 1080p would not display (caused the OPC/power green light blinking), and after a few days, any signal hitting that port would cause the error lights to come on. But as I said, eventually, a new side board resolved that issue.

Sharp Aquos LC-46d65U HDMI connect

First off a little tip that manufacturers don't tell you is that you HAVE to TURN OFF the POWER to ANY UNITS that you are Connecting to via HDMI!!!!!!! If not you can short out the Inputs!!!!!!!! HDMI is usually Automatic, But sometimes you need to go into the Menus on all Devices to the HDMI section and write down their settings and compare them. Any definition that you are not sure of check the Manual or Google it! Match all the Settings (there won't be Much!) Hopefully the Inputs were not Damaged it only takes one time to short it out and then the Repairman makes a few bucks! Good Luck!

Unstable projector connection in vista

You have bad news.
The flickering is caused by a faulty video card, can't be fixed as it is a chip on the motherboard. Need to replace the motherboard, this may not be cost effective, might be better to buy a new laptop.

Remove the hard drive from this laptop and insert it into a USB hard drive adapter case and you then have an external hard drive that can plug into a USB port of any computer to copy, backup and transfer files.

HDMI connection problem

Your TV doesn't like your laptop I guess.
There should be 2 reset buttons behind your TV.
Press the reset button first.
If that doesn't work, try the system reset button next.
If that doesn't work, you'll have to call 1-800-BE-SHARP to help you with the possible software problem with the TV
Good Luck

Ps3 using digital optical and hdmi cables together

There is a conflict in the fact that HDMI gives you the digital surround sound without the need for the optical lead and when you allocate the optical for the sound thats when the conflict starts, you can only use one or the other.
