Hitachi Where is the code number for the tv Hitachi? Because we are trying to get the sony remote to work for the Hitachi television but we cannot find the code.

My code(s) are: 10156,10030,11145,11156 & 10092. Hope this works for you(:

Is the part number on your remote HL02071 as this is the replacement part form Hitachi for your television. You may have to reinstall the codes on this remote you will have to get the codes from Hitachi they have a 24/7 support hot-line 1-800-448-2244 that you can call in order to take care of this problem that you are having. If you did not purchase the remote from Hitachi it may not be a genuine remote with the proper code already in it.

actually there is no set code for your model number. if you buy a sony remote is all you need. but if you bought a universal one than look in the manual and try all the codes for sony if that does not work then you have to program it manually. but go and buy a sony brand remote. all sony remotes work with all sony tv so you do not have to program it.

number buttons to select the manufacturer code
for your TV (see the table below).

I own a One-for-All universal remote (model URC-4220), and my booklet says the setup code for a Hitachi TV is either 0000 or 0145. If these numbers do not work, then I would buy a newer universal remote. They can purchased at Walmart for less than 10 dollars.

Call the 800 number with the new remote. Sometimes they will have additional codes. Or with the instructions with the new remote you can manually get it to work. You must follow instructions carefully. Look for this section in the instruction booklet
