Please help I need unlock code for my old eclipse Fujitsu deck

the esn is only active if the previous owner activated it. the user would of used a CD to be a key cd and that is how they are unlocked. if the cd is lost or damaged, Eclipse can give a code to unlock it. However the original owner needs to have registered the deck with eclipse and have some kind of ID like mother maiden name. there is also a second registration that can be done. which an eclipse dealer can do, it is for used cars with eclipse radios, and things like that.
They can be real strict sometimes about giving out a code, and the authorized dealer has to be the one calling, and somtime that means a lot of time on hold.

call eclipse and they ask you to fax them your ID and the receipt, they will give you a code to punch into your head unit to unlock it.

HLP means request Help Code

When the display shows HLP (Help), you need reprogram the EEPROM, with a memory Programmer Eeproms.

All Eclipse brand radios have a feature called ESN (Eclipse Security Network) installed. This means a Key CD may be inserted into the head unit so that if the unit is stolen or battey is disconnected from the unit you will have to enter the key CD to unlock the unit.


For example, lets say you purchased this unit from bestbuy. You installed it in your car and you wanted to activate the ESN security feature. You need to choose anyone of your cd's from your collection, lets say you chose The Offsping, Conspiracy of One. Input the disc hit the correct buttons ( I'll explain those later) and your Eclipse 54400's ESN is active.


Now, your 54400 is stolen a week later, the thief will plug in the 54400 into his car and it will show SEC [disc], so he/she will insert a cd and it will say [ERR]. If he or she does this 5 times it will show [call 800] which will lead them to Eclipse customer service, but you will have already called eclipse and told them that your unit was stolen. Whether you get your head unit back is highly doubtful but nobody else will be able to use it.


Now for your answer, to activate ESN:
1.Turn the vehicles ignition on and press the power button 2. Press and hold Radio station preset 1 and the FM-AM button for more than one second 3. Insert the CD of your choice. A [SEC] message will now aooear on the screen and ESN is active. Anytime the unit loses power you will have to reinsert the key cd.


To deactivate the ESN feature:
1. Turn the vehicles ignition on and press the power button or the FM-AM button (make sure the tuner is on). 2. Press and hold the radio station preset button 1 and the FM-AM for more than one second. 3.Once the display flashes [disc] insert the key cd you selected to activate the ESN. The display should now read [CnCl]. The ESN is now deactivated.


To resume normal operation after the power has been disconnected to the unit:
1. Wait for the dispaly to read [disc]. 2. Insert you key cd, if the correct CD is inserted your display will read [---] and the cd will begin to play. If the wrong CD is inserted it will display [Err]. If you insert the wrong CD 5 times it will say [call 800] and then you have to send the unit to eclipse to have it rest. Good Luck!


How to read the Electronic Serial Number:
1. Turn the vehicles power on. Prss the FM-AM button. 2. Press radio preset button 4 and the FM-AM button for more than a second and the display should show your 8 digit serial number. This number is to identify your unit if it is recovered after being stolen. Yep, that will happen!

Keep in mind that the "security code" in a radio basically fulfills this function, ensure that in case of theft, the computer does not work in another vehicle; I didnt know there was a website to get the radio codes. Before you pay anyone to get your radio security code, I recommend you get on the internet, Eclipse dealers, ask for the parts counter, tell them you need your radio code, have your serial number handy as well as all other numbers off the radio housing.

Or, call 1-800-233-2216 (Fujitsu ten) and they will assist you in the removal of the security code for a $25 charge. the number being displayed is probably the serial number of your unit. If you can remove your radio the SN will be on a tag.

this is a old reply but I think one of the small dip switches on the side of the head unit is in the on or off position for the speakers to run off a amp from the rca's. Switching it to on or off should but the sound output back to the wire harness speaker hookups

I'm assuming that you have the new 12" eclipse. Look at the sub cone. If it is blue in color, you have the Model SW4210 12" DVC SUBWOOFER, 4ohm, 250W RMS,750W MAX. If the cone is silver, it is the Model SW6210 12" DVC SUBWOOFER, 4ohm, 500W RMS, 1500W MAX.

If it is an older dvc Fujitsu Ten 12" eclipse, most likely it is the Model SW9122. If it is a REALLY old 12" eclipse, it is probably a model 88120.

What is the model # of the Fujitsu Ten Car Stereo. Do you still play cassettes? This would seem to be the reason for wanting to restore the unit - that and nostalgia. Once you have the model number you must do a search like;
Fujitsu Ten A230 harness plug. Also try Best Buy because they do a lot of car stereo installations. I just put my own unit in my Hyundai Tucson and bought my wiring kit from them; however you're going back to the 90's. I have another answer too, so let me know if this works.

Eclipse used an anti-theft technique where a special CD is required to unlock the unit if it loses power. These were not always set up, and I got lucky where mine was not... You may be able to contact Eclipse about it as it is an older unit, but I wouldn't hold your breath.
