Hiya while I am not sure of what you mean exactly as an evergreen carpet I do know that if you want a plant or tree to survive don't use round up near it. Roundup is an extremely strong effective herbicide which will kill any living plant (more precisely the leaves) it touches. It also takes very little to kill a plant or tree.

Having said all that. I have had an issue with Lilly of the valley taking over as our property was vacant for 20 years the plants went unchecked all that time. I have tried just about everything else nothing even slowed them down. Of course they are a shade plant and growing under all of my trees that lined the property and are well over 100 years old.

  • I got a large pop bottle and punctured 2 holes in the lid and added the Roundup mix into the bottle.
  • I collected several sheets of plastic and newspaper. It is my understanding as long as the chemical doesn't touch the other plants or roots they should be ok.
  • What you want to do is to apply the round up to the leaves ( no need to soak everything down) Just a few good drops to the leaves of the target plants should do the trick.
  • Use the plastic or paper to protect the other plants you want to keep. Wait a week to ten days and you should see them begin to die. Protect all plants from accidental contact. since accidents occur what I did was immediately break or cut the infected leaf then flush the plant really well with water. This worked like a charm for me.
I can honestly say I am finally winning the battle. This year I only had about 2% of the offending plants appear. I am hoping none show up next year but if one or two do survive they wont the next year.

I hope this helps if you have any further questions please feel free to ask. Happy gardening

Please give instructions - dilution rates for Roundup Amenity 5L . This would be for a small garden

For 5L of water 50ml of roundup can be used. Remember Roundup works by being absorbed by leaves not through the soil so spray in calm weather and shield your plants with a bit of cardboard or plastic if you need to get really close.

Roundup was spilled in a car carpet how do i clean the area to get it out of the carpet?

The active ingredient in Roundup is Glyphosate and is fairly harmless to humans. I would suggest dilution with water and use an absorbent material such as baking powder or cat litter to soak up the material and sweep up then vacuum the remaining material.

I have used Roundup weed killer in the past, and am satisfied. But I no longer have the instructions about how much product to mix per gallon (or quart) of water. I use small amounts, like a quart sprayer....

I have a 5ltr can of Roundup and the dilution ratio for general week killing is 1 part Roundup to 4 parts water. I use this ratio all the time and it workes a treat.

How much roundup do I use in a gallon of water to get a good kill

This will be hard to answer because roundup is sold in different strengths. On a dry morning mix a few ounces of round up to a gallon of water and test it by spaying it on some blades of grass. Results should be noticed after a few days.If you spent allot of money for just a little roundup then you probably have a strong solution. Some roundup is already mixed with water (diluted) and can be applied as is. I hope this helps
