I have a zenithAKB36157102 REMOTE that I bought for a converter tuner and now after the hurricane, the unit isn't working. batteries are fine and unit is only two months old.

Check for bad batteries on remote. If still nothing, then remote unit has gone bad or the receiver section in converter tuner is bogus. Either one or the other.

Philips hts3565d

Make sure it is the amp section by connecting a known good amp to the record output of unit. If it does not work then the issue is with the front end or preamps of unit and not amp section.

My Yamaha RX-V757 Receiver wont turn on at all, everthing has gone blank??? Help

There are internal fuses in this unit.
Check these fuses first.
If you find a fuse that measures open, and the glass isn't black or black/silver then simply replacing the fuse may do the trick.
Make sure you get an EXACT match for the fuses, some are slo-blow because of the power on surge it has to allow.

If the main amp section does not have it's own fuses, then the fuse might have blown, because the amp has gone. However I think it is highly likely that you have taken out the main amp, especially if it is a single IC that does all the work. You should try and determine if the amp section is getting power before replacing it.

TEAC AG-V3050 FM reception was fine and then quit. Checked antena with no results. Internal component? Fuse?

If a unit turns on it isn't a blown fuse. Does the tuner give you indications that it is or is not tuning a station? Change the FM Mode to Mono. You should at least be able to hear FM hiss if the tuner is alive.

It's a GE microwave. i'm just heating up something then it completely shut off

could have blown a fuse in it... the fuse is located in the control panel section and does require you to take apart... prior to this just make sure the breaker didn't trip to unit and you still have 120 volts to plus or plug something else into that plug to make sure it still works...if your going to investigate the fuse make sure you unplug the unit prior to working on it...there will be a 20 amp fuse inside the unit i would start there if you have power at the plug still......good luck
