SOURCE: My Epson Styluss CX6600 won't charge

This may be very simple. Turn the unit off and lift up the top. On the forward side of the unit you will find a little 'slider switch'. This is the scanner unlock - toggle the switch back and forth several times and leave in the unlock position. Turn on the printer and all will be well.

SOURCE: How to remove print head of epson stylus photo r1800 BEWARE SPAM NUMBER +1-800-532-4187 BELOW

Had the same problem - but the print head is actually easy to remove.

1) Remove ink cartridges
2) Remove 3 Phillips head screws at the bottom of the cartridge housing. (looking down from the printer front - top left, bottom left, top right).
3) There are 2 small plastic tabs on a plastic bracket that secure the flex cable on the right hand side of the cartridge housing. Gently release the tabs with a small flat head screw driver.
4) Lift the print head straight up (don't pull on the flex).

There may be a release for the flex to separate from the print head. But I did not see one. Instead I poured 1/4" of Windex in the bottom of a small plastic container and soaked my print head for about 15 minutes (occasionally agitating).

Then put back in reverse order - be sure to seat the flex in the guide (top-back-right) of the cartridge housing before screwing down. Then run a cleaning or two to flush the cleaning fluid out of the print head. (I have a waste ink tank installed so I am not worried about dumping excessive ink into the waste sponges).

The differences was remarkable - though there was still slight banding - maybe should have soaked longer (1 hr perhaps?) - I may repeat if it remains an issue.

Additionally there were large solid deposits on the left side of the print head which were responsible for scraping heavier weight photo paper. These dissolved in the Windex too.

SOURCE: EPSON BX300F BLACK PRINT HEAD BLOCKED TRIED TO

If you've cleaned the heads, and swapped the cartridges then it doesn't sound too good.
if you do a google search for Epson Printer Repairers in google with your location so like Cambridge or whatever they'll need to take a look.
You could also check to see if its under warranty - put your serial number in here;

Hello my Epson Stylus CX6600 is printing out blank pages, ran nozzle check and Head cleaning, also head allignment, still print blank pages, need help please

if the printers been sitting for some time, the printhead has dried up "not good" printheads generally retail around $100, you can try soaking the bottom of the printhead in metho which may fix some colors but you would be pretty lucky to get all them to work.

Black won't print for my epson SX515W

I have solved this problem on my sx515w. I hadn't used the printer for a while and when I did after about 3 months the black wouldn't print. Even after trying several different new cartridges, driver reinstals, updates, automatic head cleaning operations..... It turned out that the printer head had ink dried onto it due to lack of use.

What you need to do is to drop a few drops of nail polish remover (yes as in Acetone solution) on to the foam cleaning dock, located to the far right of the printer rail. When the printer is resting, the ink jet module covers the dock. TO expose the dock, set the printer to the 'clean head' operation and the ink jet module will go to the far left, when this happens pull the power cord out so it stays out of the way (don't worry the printer will reset fine afterwards). So now the module is out of the way drop in some cleaing fluid on to the sponge dock. Then you are ready to run the automatic clean head operation at least 20 times. Do a test print each time until full print quality is resumed.

Oh and it is worth cleaning the sponge dock with tissue as it gets heavily soiled with ink (using the 'clean head' - turn off half way operation just described above). Remeber to replenish the nail polish remover. This should sort it.

Yackshimash.

Cheers

I need to soak the print head for my cx6000. How do I remove it?

Removing the printhead is not recommended as it is easily damaged. You should clear the heads using tubing, syringe and cleaning fluid. But first try doing 4 or 5 head cleans, wait about 10 hours for the ink to soften and do another 3 or 4 cleans with a nozzle check after each. You should see a gradual improvement in the nozzle checks. If there is no improvement then you need a head cleaning solution such as this one:
http://www.powerklin.co.uk/?gclid=CNGDypir-JgCFQ4yQgodZlC4lw
Others are available just try googling "inkjet head cleaning".
Note that head cleaning uses between 5 and ten percent of your ink cart's, if any are low on ink have some new ones ready. Hope this helps.
Please take a moment to rate this solution, thanks.

Epson cx6600 printing only magenta even with new cartidges

Try remove and shake the inks and reinstall it back in and test to print. If you have tried more than 4x with the head cleaning it might be your ink pads inside the printer is clogged. Is this still under warranty? You have to call Epson they might help you out with it.

Epson CX6600 Only Prints/Copies Blank Pages. Is there a solution other than tossing this Epson produce failure? [email protected]

This is a common problem with Epsons. With Epsons, they have a printhead that lasts for the entire life of the printer. These problems usually occur when you change cartridges and put fresh ones in and it does that charge. There is a long tube that goes down to a big pad that all waste ink drains into. Eventually, the ink hardens and builds up, plugging the tube. The worst thing you can do is clean the heads. My advice is to buy new, or have a repairman clean the heads with hot chemicals.
