If your compression is so low it won't start, that's really an engine rebuild thing, not something you can turn from outside.

Kinroad 125 xt i have lost compression and it will now not start?

With NO compression in the engine ... that tells me there is a hole in the engine that doesn't belong there or will not close. You measured this how??? Remove the head and have a look. This may become a very expensive fix. Consider this as you inspect your engine.

Need to know what the compression should be for a 2150 poulan chainsaw

the compression on a chainsaw can be checked by simply holding the crank rope by itself, it should chug down the rope very slowly.

I have a 02 ttr 125L and when i try to start it my compression is lost but i lean my bike to the side a little bit and i get compression how can i fix that?

That is not what is going on, compression doesn't just come and go, it is or it isn't. I don't have the answer but i suggest you seek the help of the dealer or a professional trained on this model.

1990 jeep wrangler motor has no compression

Take it back to the shop that did the engine overhaul. No compression at all? They did something very wrong. Does the distributor shaft and rotor turn when cranking the engine? Are you sure your compression tester is working and hasn't failed? Is it possible they got the timing for the crank and camshaft all wrong? Take it back to them and demand they fix it, if it truly has no compression. It will never start without compression.

Will not start, has no compression, bought new june-2010

If little or no compression problem may be stuck valve/s. Easy fix/ harder fix. Remove sparkplug and spray wd40 into cylinder and replace plug (hand tight because you may need to repeat), try to start. The oil will tend to raise the compression a bit if lucky enough to start, too much will wet plug, just clean and try again. If it starts you can keep spraying wd40 into carb till it runs better. Harder fix, remove plug wire, remove valve cover and pull starter rope slowly to see if valves are moving and rocker arms are not too loose. Loose rocker arms indicate stuck valves. If stuck, lightly tap top of valve/spring with wood handle of hammer or large screwdiver to free valve. Generally only a couple of taps are needed. If these procedures do not help a trip to small engine shop is indicated. Good luck

Check the engine compression with a compression tester. It should be over 100psi,also check for hot blue spark on plugs,if not blue ignition problem.Weak Spark, but if blue and wont fire with ether the rings maybe worn, and compression to low...Best of luck to you!!!!

Car wont start

At first, I thought 'coil pack'. But you said it tried to start. So that's out. You might check that you're getting spark just to be thorough.

Did it ever start again after the stall on the interstate?

If not, I'm leaning towards the timing chain.

What happens if your timing chain broke:
  • The timing chain no longer turns the cam(s)
  • The cam(s) no longer open/close the valves
  • The valves become stationary, remaining open or closed depending on the position of the cam(s)
  • If even one valve is open in a cylinder, no compression.
  • No compression, no start.
How do you confirm this without tearing apart your engine?

Do a compression test on all cylinders. If only one or two have compression (or one or more have zero compression), I'm tipping over towards the timing chain.

Have a compression test done.

Hope this helps

Not cooling

The clicking you are hearing is your overload on your start system sounds like your compresser start ststem is out..or your compresser is locked up the only way to tell is to ohm out the compresser idf you dont have a meter you can install a start kit like a Supco Pro41 or a RCO410 or a factory replacement and see if it starts up the compresser.. Have you cleaned the condenser at all ??? although this will not fix the compresser it can be a cause of overheating..The part Number you need is a 2188831 for the factory replacemenet ($22.56)the supco parts part number SU RCO410 ($15.00) the Pro41 is part #
SU PRO41 ($17.97) you can get them at your local parts house they are all easy to change or if you dont have a parts house close you can oder it on the web at www.apdepot.com Hope this fixes ya
