What Scott Seeders have equivalent settings for "Scotts Turf Builder Edge Guard Mini"

Question edited for clarity 'speeders' to 'Seeders'.

That model is still available very easily from lots of outlets including Amazon. The settings refer to a 'spread per square yard' and is translatable to any broadcast spreader.

I have a scots edge guard spreader and need to put on weed and feed at 4 lbs per 1000 sq feet what setting on spreader should I use

Hi Mike:
The setting will depend on the size of the weed & Feed pellets.
The package usually has setting instructions on it.

If all else fails, the rate is 1 lb per 250 square feet.
Mark out an area about 10 ft by 25 ft long.
The spreader cast is about 5 ft, so down and back should use 1 lb.
Set the spreader at a minimal rate and see how far 1 lb goes, then adjust the setting accordingly.

The Scotts Edgeguard Spreader is calibrated at the factory. This spreader cannot be calibrated, and shouldn't need to be. For further assistance, call Scotts at 877-465-5160

Need to know the setting to put out Stagreen's crabex crabgrass preventer

If the product you are planning on applying has a spreader setting for a Scotts SpeedyGreen, or specifically for the SpeedyGreen 3000; you can that recommendation in your Edgeguard Deluxe Spreader. If they do not have a suggested spreader setting for the SpeedyGreen, or SpeedyGreen 3000 settings then this question would best be answered by calling Scotts directly @ 1-800-543-8873. One of our associates would be happy to assist you further.

I need spreader setting to do 2.3 pounds per 1000 sq ft

We do have a general rule, called the 50 by 20 rule which will allow you to use any product in any spreader, but there is some work that will need to be done.

* Weigh out and Place enough material in the hopper to cover 1,000 sq. ft. (In your case 2.3 pounds)

* Place the spreader setting on a low setting (Usually one-fourth of the spreader setting range or less. In your case i would suggest about 2.75 or 3)

* Spread the material over a 50 x 20 ft. area (This is 1,000 sq. ft.).

* If material is left over, you will need to increase the setting accordingly

* If they you up short, you will need to decrease the setting.

Spreader Settings

I called Scotts, and according to them the Edgeguard Deluxe uses the same settings as the SpeedyGreen 3000.
