Why does it bump and bang out of balance?

i am a recently retired engineer of 20 years, but this sounds like (based on the info given) a heater element fault, after the machine fills up and agitates a few times the heater should start, check the heater for open circuit, replace if needed, of course it just could be a wire off? if i have helped rate me please

make sure all shipping pins are out the tub should move all around from side to side if it level still bangs its eather the balance ring top basket are there 3 slides on a plate above the motor just put some silacone oil on tham move around

This typically indicates slow drain condition. Check for any clogs or kinks in the drain line. Also check that the pump is not clogged and that no pump impeller blades are missing/broken and that the impeller moves freely. it means SUDS
you have suds detected in the pump
Your using too much soap and the machine cannot rinse it
try one load with out any soap
from that load on you should not be using any more that a table spoon per load
