That engine has a compression release device. You will need a "leak down device" to check it. A quick check is to use your thumb over the plug hole, while someone pulls the start handle. If it forces your thumb off from the hole- it's enough to start/run.
You have 2 options to connect an additional monitor to your desktop:
1. install a low profile video card that has multiple video outputs 2. purchase a USB to VGA/DVI device to allow a 2nd monitor to be connected.
Your model PC does not have a DisplayPort on it (newer PC's have this and this provides another monitor connection). So you will need to add hardware to the PC so you can connect the 2nd monitor.
Because you have the "Small Form Factor" model, standard height video cards will not fit in it. You would need to get the shorter model video card - typically labeled "low profile".
The other option is to purchase a USB to VGA or USB to DVI adapter that would allow you to connect the second monitor to your PC. The only thing to watch for when getting this type of adapter is to make sure your current Operating System is supported by the adapter. Many adapters that work on Windows XP will not work with Windows 7 or 8.
It is not recommended that the back cover is taken off. If you need to reset it, toward the bottom of the device there is a small insertion hole to reset. Use the stylus or something small enough to fit and it will auto reset.
There should be a small hole somewhere on one of the sides of the device, small enough that only something such as a needle or a paper clip can fit into it. use a small item to press the button that resides in this hole. Most modern MP3 players have this small hole and its a basic reset function for the operating system that runs the MP3 player. Also you may want to try updating the firmware on your device here
If you get an error message "Insufficient power to operate USB device" when you plug in a USB device into the computer's USB port then this device is drawing power that the USB port can supply.
In case such as this, you need to purchased a powered USB hub and connect this hub into the computer's USB port and then connect the USB device into this powered USB hub.
underneath you will find a small hole that says reset button, Use a small pin or the tool small enough to to enter hole press lightly once. this hould reset device.

I had this problem on a refrigerator with an automatic icemaker.Where the water line attaches to the source pipe is a Self-Piercing Tap valve (sometimes called a vampire tap, or a saddle valve). The hole that this device made to feed the freezer was not allowing sufficient flow during the fill cycle of the icemaker. I had to turn off my water and trace the water line that feeds my refrigerator back to the water source.I then disassembled the valve, enlarged the hole in the water pipe slightly, and reassembled.Turn the water back on and check for leaks. The trick is to enlarge the hole just enough to deliver the need water, but keep it small enough so the saddle valve can seal the junction.
If you are trying to retrieve the DVD from inside a laptop that won't turn on, the easiest solution is ... a Paper Clip! Straighten one end of the paper clip and insert it into the small hole on the face of the DVD drive and the door will open.
Although i have not seen your device specifically i looked it up and that unit if I am not mistaken has an option to plug a switching power adapter on it IF and only IF in case you might need it to power on additional devices. Some USB devices need more power than normal hence the adapter but any device that runs on its own power and small USB devices dont need such power then you do not need the external adapter ( Sold separately and not by the same company) Basically you are not missing anything dont worry if the unit works as it should then you are ok.
