Check your new memory card in a computer, using a memory card reader (they ares cheap), Should open jut like a pendrive, as removable disk..
If won't open, your new card is bad.

Testimonial: "With much searching online and in store I found out that Canon A620 only takes up to 2GB an it has to be SD not SDHC. The SD card works in my Canon Power Shot SX50 as well as the SDHC.Thanks for the info Mister Danger but did not apply."

Why, when i take a picture and try to see it it comes up with a picture error on my sp-600z camera

The manual says:

Problem with selected image
Use photo retouch software, etc. to view the image on a computer. If the image still cannot be viewed, the image file is corrupted.

But try this. Switch of the camera, remove the battery and memory card. Check if all contacts are clean and shiny. On the battery, on the memory card and in the camera. Then replace the battery and memory card and switch on.
I hope this solves the problem.

Why the memory stick don't show the pics on the camera

There are several different memory sticks and the are not fully compatible. Be sure you bought the right memory stick for your camera Refer to the manual. Check in the computer if there are any pictures at all on the memory stick. Please don't copy pictures from another camera to the stick to view them on a camera. Most camera's only can show the jpg pictures that were shot with that oa a same camera. Even in one brand of camera's there can be differences in the file you want to view.

I took my memory card out of my camera, erased what was on it, add new pictures from my computer,to it,then put the memory card back in to the camera, and hooked the camera up to my television so I could...

Your mistake was in assuming your camera would recognize any information your computer put on the card. It won't because of the difference in the operating systems. To get your card to work properly in your camera again, you will have to format it in the camera.

'File error' message on samsung L200 camera when viewing a photo

Possible solution:

I had/have the same problem using L200 and SDHC memory card, called Samsung. Can't view certain pictures on camera or computer, camera freezes when viewing those certain pictures, green light flashing.

Samsung support told me that I needed to copy my (good) pictures to a computer first because a memory format will erase everything. Then format (menu->settings->format->yes) my memory card. Tried this just now and took some new pictures, so far so good.

Camera saying memory full to a brand new memory card.

You may have a defective memory card. Have you tried it in a different device? Do you have a card reader on your printer or computer? If so, try inserting the card and see if your computer can read the card, and write files to the card.

Screen reading memory card not initialized

Hello

  • Insert your memory card into your computer's reader if you have one. If not, you can purchase a multi-format USB Memory Card reader from Amazon.com or Buy.com
  • 2 Open up 'My Computer'. You should see it under the list of available drives.
  • 3 Check its contents first to make sure that you have the right drive.
  • 4 In 'My Computer', right-click on the drive and choose 'Format'.
  • 5 Leave all the options as they are and click on 'Start'. This is a non-reversible process so make sure this is what you truly wanted to do in the first place.
  • 6 Once the process is completed, take the memory card out and insert it into your Digital Camera or any other device. Try to browse to it to make sure it works fine now.

DiMage Z6 turns off when trying to view pictures

I posted this on another section:

My Z6 worked flawlessly for over a year, then suddenly started shutting off for no reason. Tried new batteries, etc. The problem turned out to be the memory card. My advice, buy a GOOD card instead of a new camera! Keep in mind, flash cards DO have a "life" to them - meaning they can only be used / erased so many times before they will cause errors (so don't buy a used card off of ebay - no matter HOW good the deal seems). If your shutdown problem started with a "unable to read card" warning, then its the card. The camera is actually "protecting" itself by shutting down. Good luck!

    Memory Card Locked

I had to replace two memory cards. Of course I tried the Lock slider thing on the side with no success. The card is cheaply made. I bought a different brand this time, Lexar. I think my old brand was Dane something. It seemed to happen whenever my battery got low. The card looked like a piece of cardboard and acts like one too!

    Grey screen

Clean , outside of lens, go to menu reset to factory defaults, try another new battery, take out memory card and wipe lightly with alcohol. If none of this works contact or call customer support for brand. You may have dead pixels, if that is the case it's time to buy a new camera. Jimmy
