My samsung model RF263AEPN is flashing an 88 89 after the power went out

This is taken directly from the Samsung website:French Door: Why Is The Display Blinking 88 88 And Not Responding?Cyber

Drastic power fluctuations such as power outages and surges can cause electronic device to behave abnormally. If the refrigerator display is showing 88 88 (all eights) and is still cooling properly, unplug the refrigerator for 60 seconds and then plug it back in. If the display returns to normal after approximately 2 minutes service is not required. However, if the display does not return to normal service is required.

When i unplug the timer then reset a new time schedule and plug timer back into wall my timer sets to 88:88. whats am i doing wrong? this timer worked brilliantly until i reset and plugged it back in.

Open following link to identify timer and read instructions:

Timers go bad for many unprovoked reasons.
Check outlet with circuit analyzer.

This timer has 1 year limited warranty.
Extended warranty: If timer is defective, then buy new one from Target or Lowes, and return defective timer in new package.

To review:
Replace AA battery if this model has a battery carriage. Otherwise timer has internal rechargeable battery.
Press reset button with paper clip for a few seconds.
88:88-88 will flash on screen momentarily, and then 12:00 am will display. Timer is ready for programming.
If 88:88-88 does not roll over into the 12:00 am display, try resetting again.
If timer will not hold new programming, and keeps resetting, then see if reset button is stuck.
If timer does not reset and re-program correctly, then timer has gone bad.

No buttona work on the board just says 88

The 88 in the display most likely means you have a stuck or shorted keypad.

If the control senses a keypad pressed for more than 75 seconds then it will display an 8 error.

There is a membrane/interface test that you can enter and run if you don't mind a little do-it-yourself.

The image below will show you how to enter and run the membrane test.

If you can not enter the test or some keypads are not responsive then you will need to replace the console/membrane. You can obtain the console from this link.

88 means you are filtering alone no chlorine
Once the generator is set it will run its time like 1-12 hours depending on what you set it at
After this time it will flash 93 meaning it is getting ready for sleep mode eventually it will shut that down and then turn back on at the same time you programed it the time before

There are 2 green lights
top one is that you are filtering
second one comes on about 2-10 minutes after you set the generator time this shows you are producing salt

Samsung RFG 297 series... contro panel reads 88 88

This is technical unit an they can be pretty touchy with power outages sometimes. It may be in a display mode. If you havent already try unplugging the unit for a minute or two and plug it back in. This doesnt reset its programming try holding Energy Saver Key + Lighting Key for 8 seconds and let the unit run thru a self diagnstic test and hopefully it will reset. If neither works its going to have the main board replaced.

It sounds like the radio may be in service or programming mode. Try turning it off, remove the battery, and reconnect the battery. Let me know if that solves the problem or not.
