Where do i get a replacement sonar sensor - HUMMINBIRD Hummingbird Wireless Matrix Smartcast GPS Accessories

This indicactes the sonar sensor unit is malfunctioning or it's disconnected (or the cable connecting it is damaged). You will have to check it - ideally using another central unit. If the unit is damaged then you will have to either attempt at fixing it yourself by cutting the cable and the housing open, locating the fault and fixing it or just by replacing the entire system since you can't replace the sensor alone- it's not sold separately or available as a replacement part.
BTW sending it to be fixed is not an option, it would cost you over $150 which is well above what this unit sells for when new

Sonar was a 3M spin off. Sonar was then purchased and merged with Resound Hearing Aids out of California. Sonar was officially closed in 2008/2009. I would contact ReSound Hearing Aids and see if they can fix it.

First check your speakers with any media player. If this sounds OK then keep the volume level up/same sothat you can hear any sound from speaker. Now Check the input & output devices in sonar (Select the appropriate device). Put any audio file in a track in Sonar & check...

If you are not a regular user of Sonar then it is better to switch to another DAW which are better (at least in my openion) before you are used to Sonar.
I'd suggest "Nuendo" of Steinberg, it is highly professional, far better & far more user friendly than Sonar. I've used both...

Sounds like what is called a latency problem. You need to go into the settings in Sonar and under audio, adjust the Latency to a higher number...I don't know sonar home studio, or I would tell you the exact area to go in the menu's to adjust latency..Hope this helps!

Could it be your back up sensor going off that is making the sonar sound?

Man, you have a job ahead of you. First, if the unbreakable shaft is cracked or broken, you will have to replace it, for it will leak into the motor too. If your unit has the sonar sensor in the front and it has had water in it, the unit can corrode severely and need a lot of parts besides seals. The wiring to the sonar runs in a protective shield bonded to the magnet housing and one of the long screws holds it in there. Remember to take the wiring to the sonar out AFTER you remove the big motor feed wires, and replace it BEFORE you reinstall the red and black cables. Some grease seems to ensure the o'rings slide on metal parts during reassembly rather than tear. It's quite a job.

UNINSTAL :
START>CONTROL PANNEL>ADD REMOVE PROGRAMS>SONAR>REMOVE.
RE-INSTAL :
DOUBLE CLICK FOR EXE SETUP PROGRAM FOR SONAR>SELECT TARGET AREA(DEFAULT C:\)>FINISH.
RESTART SYSTEM AND USE SONAR.
