Has the plastic latch on your toolbox or carrying case weakened or completely broken off?
Use a bicycle tube repair patch to re-attach a broken plastic tab or reinforce a weak latch on your tool carrying cases. The rubber patch is designed to vulcanize (basically stiffen) after application and the adherence is great. I layer two on each latch in opposite directions to improve strength and cover a larger area.
Be sure to thoroughly roughen the plastic and remove all "shiny" surfaces on the plastic with sandpaper for best adherence. Most bicycle patch kits include the patches, a metal tool to roughen the plastic, and the solvent necessary to react with the soft red rubber on the patch....and they are cheap - less than $2.
