Hello

It is caused by a clogged defrost drain in the freezer compartment of your refrigerator

To fix this you will need to empty your refrigerator and unplug it.

Remove the back panel of the freezer and look under the cooling coil, you will see a frozen drain

pour hot water on the drain hole until water flows freely through the drain to the bottom pan..

That's it

Water pooling on top shelf in refrigerator with top freezer

Hi,

Your drain is obstructed within the freezer compartment causing the water to floe into to lower section via vent ducts. To correct this, you will need to access the rear wall of the freezer and at the bottom you will find the drain hole. Remove the obstruction with warm water and remove all the ice also.

Good Luck

Water pooling on top shelf. Freezing as well. How do I fix this?

Probably the water drain is blocked. The auto defrost generates a fair amount of water which is channeled into a tube leading through the fridge wall to a tray fixed to the motor where the heat will evaporate it.

The top of the inside of my 2002 Whirlpool refrigerator Model ET1FTK (top mount)is frozen and is dripping onto the first shelf.

Hello,

The cause of that drip is going to be a blocked defrost drain in the freezer and the water from the defrost is pooling up in the freezer then when it can't hold anymore it's dripping through the vent in the ceiling of the refrigerator onto the shelfs. By removing the back wall of the freezer you could find the drain on the bottom of the freezer coil. By GENTLY peircing that frozen drain at a 45 degree angle until a small hole is formed in the built up ice it could be totally flushed using warm water once a small opening is made in the ice in the drain.

Water in the refrigerator seems to be coming from the freezer. The water is pooling on the top right shelf.

Your defrost drain system is plugged, you will need to locate it and clean it out.Follow the water trail back to where it is coming from. Hope this helps.

Ice and water on the bottom shelf of my sears Kenmore regular refrigerator. things are cold but water pooling on the bottom shelf.it is a Kenmore freezer on top and refrigerator on the bottom

Drain stopped up. Defrosting occurs and condensation water must be evacuated, this is done through a dran hole. Clogged drain means water inside under crispers messy all that luv. Find the drain hole and give her a good old clean out. All will be good.
