Not sure but newer stoves have 4 wires 2 110 and 1 ground and 1 neutral. Older stoves had 2 110 and only 1 ground. The oven sometimes used the ground a sa neutral for little motors, displays, etc. make sure that the third wire on your plug has a good ground and see if that helps
They sell cleaners for glasstop stoves. Often I find I can use baking soda and lemon juice mixed together to form a stiff paste and use a non abrasive pad (like what you use on non stick pans) and lots of elbow grease... but not TOO much pressure... If that does'nt do it, try the cleaner they make for it. I have had my stove for quite a while now- overall it's stayed fairly clean with the home remedy
Thank you for using FixYa. The pad lock symbol is a child safety device to prevent accidental operation. Press or touch the area on or around the padlock symbol and the indicator will go out and thus allow you to use the hob

Unplug first! Find the screws that hold the cooktop to the range. Usually in the front just above the oven door when it is closed on the underside. This should release the cooktop. The burners and wiring may have to be removed. You can order the part at sears.com.
