2008 Jeep Patriot. Engine makes rattling/grinding noise near right wheel well when making a right turn. This problem started when the weather hit about 20 degrees.

sounds like a wheel bearing, one piece hub and bearing, not a hard fix ,bearing is like 100 bucks tho. Don't let it get worse, the wheel could lock up

GE Spacesaver 1800 XL - rattling sound

Hi jnflanders,
You've probably solved this by now, but I'll answer just in case. That part is called the stirrer motor. You can replace it yourself, as long as you have an offset phillip's head screwdriver handy.
Before you order the replacement part, figure out if your stirrer is driven by a d-shaped or a square shaft. You can tell by taking off the round plate on the inside top wall of the microwave. GE makes stirrer motors for both d-shaped and square shafts, so you'll have to get the right one. Here's the d-shaped motor that fixed this problem with my microwave: http://www.appliancepartspros.com/part_details.aspx?part_id=2024961.
Good luck!

Squeaking/grinding/rattle noise during wash and spin

That sounds like a clutch problem - probably just worn and need replacement. Will definitely need to pull to find exact fault.

Le code and can start but sounds bad (rattles behind drum)

very unlikely it's the motor but could be the bearing is grinding or one of spyder bracket at back of drum has broken off. If you put it into spin with no load and just grinds then bearing is gone. if the drum wobbles and rattles then bracket is broken.LE code may or may not be related. Sometimes just plugging and unplugging the hall sensor at the back will eliminate the problem or just resetting it the way you did it. but if there's a real problem it will come back again.
