It could be as simple as the tank seal leaking or it could be an internal leak exiting at that back corner. Either way electricity and water are not good companions so it is unsafe to continue using it like that. Track down a repair agent for that brand (you have not told us make or model) and get a quote to repair, it could be uneconomic.
3) Descaling tankless water heater each year will not restore functionality, or restore efficiency of tankless, nor restore full efficiency to tank-type gas water heater.
4) Bradford White side-by-side testing research comparing their tankless with their tank-type shows that tankless will save $1-8 per month on energy bill vrs ordianry tank-type ....but conclude that tankless 'fall far short of payback' due to maintenance, repair, installation and replacement costs. A common cause is the calcium, or some other minerals in the water eventually ate through the bottom of the tank. You will need a new tank, or better... A new kettle.
I have the same model and if you have been running the dehumidifier the internal water tank will fill with condensate water. You will need to unplug the black plug (in back of unit) to release the pints of water it has accumulated in the tank. Be sure to have a pan under the plug as it will drain immediately. Do not tip the portable unit if you need to put in a shower stall to drain, as water will leak out of the internal water tank into your unit. Hope this helps.
HI pilot line open letting full gas through , make up soap and water to make bubbles and brush it around all the joints get someone to turn on tank slowly and you and chek for leaks if it bubbles up if in any not sure get a gas fitter too check it out
make sure the water tank is not leaking theres a seal in the part on the machine that the tank sits on its underr the hard plastic ring. if that is good then theres a line or somthing gone internally
