I am having difficulty in hearing what people, especially on MKR, are actually saying as the background music is so loud.

If you are using surround sound, check your center speaker. Most voice tracks are sent to the center channel

Audio Music and laugh track loud but voices too quiet

Check the speaker/s. If found OK; check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit board. If needy, replace this board as card basis. My vizio tv is practically brand new as of christmas, when a movie or even tv is on the voices are very soft and the music or background noises are EXTREMELY loud, so I am always turning the volume up and...

I had this problem with my previous TV (Syntax by Olevia, an off brand). It only happened to me on certain channels, and for certain shows. What is happening is the TV station is broadcasting the audio in Dolby 5.1 format. For some stupid reason, the TV is playing the background speakers (effects) instead of the speaking parts. You get a little bleed-over of the voices into the back speakers, so voices are there but really quiet. Unfortunately my TV didn't have any surround sound options to fix this.

See if your TV has a surround sound option. Otherwise, you will need to connect the TV sound output to a surround sound system that can properly decode the audio channels.

Movies will play fine however the music is at normal volume and the voices are very quiet. To hear them you can turn it up but then music is too loud.

This might be your TV many of the SONY and PHILIPS TV's have an Auto Volume control setting that is used to prevent the TV advert music from being too loud compared to the programs try turning this ON and OFF and see if it helps.

Vizio 42" LCD HDTV audio issues

First of all go into the audio menu settings and turn off the "surround" feature off and that should fix the voices/music differences. Does the craking sound appear while watching any sorce such as cable box,sat rcvr or DVD player? If not isolate it to that input and maybe that device is giving the problem.
