Why did it work before installation, now flashes numerous different colors?

Turns on but screen flashes blue, black, red, green, and white when I turn it on and power light goes to green then back to red. Recently replaced the t-con board and have replaced the power supply, video board, and sound board. Thinking it could possibly be a main board issue now or defective lcd scree

Before installing replacement parts???

I can assume that the t-con board or the video board had terminal connectors or ribbon connectors. What is often overlooked is a misaligned connector or worse, a broken or bent pin. Try examining these connection points. You may have to use a magnifying glass. A defective screen usually goes black or produces broken images and/or color points.
I hope this helps.

    Wow all you did was hang it on the wall. Does it work if you take if down? Did any wires get crimped during the installation?

Trailer Wiring Cheat Sheet

Hello all,

For those of you that have or occasionally borrow trailers and look at the wiring plugs with disdain (I mean face it they don't make sense, ground is white, +12vdc is black, etc), this is for you.

The following are the accepted standards for different trailer types.
The different plugs and connectors used are marked with either a number or letters. Having the functions of each in advance can save a lot of trial and error when troubleshooting..

Plug Types/Application
7 Way - RV Trailers, Horse and Utility Trailers
6 Way - Horse, Stock and Utility
4 Way - Utility Trailers

Columns are: Color, Function, Mark on the plug.

Seven wire Trailer plugs:

Horse, stock or utility trailers:

White = Ground - 1
Blue = Electric Brakes - 2
Brown = Tail and clearance lights - 3
Black = Battery, aux power - 4
Yellow = Left turn/Brake - 5
Green = Right turn Brake - 6
Orange or Purple (not both) = Auxilliary or Reverse - 7

Recreational Vehicle:
White = Ground - 1
Blue = Electric Brakes - 2
Green = Tail and clearance lights - 3
Black = Battery, aux power - 4
Red = Left turn/Brake - 5
Brown = Right turn Brake - 6
Yellow = Auxilliary or Reverse - 7

Six wire trailer plugs:

Horse, stock or utility trailers:
White = Ground - GD
Yellow = Left turn/Brake -LT
Green = Right turn Brake -RT
Brown = Tail and clearance lights - TM
Red or Black (not both) = Battery, aux power - A
Blue = Electric Brakes - S

Recreational Vehicle: (color, use, plug mark)
White = Ground - GD
Brown = Right turn Brake - RT
Green = Tail and clearance lights -TM
Black = Battery, aux power - A
Red = Left turn/Brake - LT
Blue = Electric Brakes - S

Four wire plugs:
White = Ground
Yellow = Left turn/Brake
Green = Right turn Brake
Brown = Tail and clearance lights

Ground should be 10ga.
Others 14 ga

Best regards
Mike

Replacing front turn signal socket on 1990 dodge shadow

Okay. Hook black to black.
Green to green with white stripe.
Yellow to red with white stripe.
That should work. Nothing is going to blow up if it's wrong. It just won't work.

Red , Green And Blue.

Heres the best way to set a phillips screen controls. Go into the picture controls and set picture or contrast to roughly 75%, then set brightness to 50% and then set the color level completely off. Then adjust the screen with the 3 color controls untill you recieve the best black and white picture as possible. If you are unable to achieve a good black and white picture change the coolant in the green and blue tubes. But if you can get a good black and white picture stop there then turn your color level back up and the picture should be correct. Let me know if you need further assistance.
