There are a number of issues that can cause overheating disc brakes. Disc brakes, when released, separate from the disc by the action of the rotor moving between them (since no rotor is perfectly true, there is a small about of wobble and it pushes the pads away from the rotor surface). Things that can cause this to go wrong are:
Caliper pistons that have rust rings that cause sticking. This most often will happen right after or shortly after replacing old, work out pads with new ones. Because the caliper piston was extended out farther with the worn pads, its surface may get rusty. This rust can cause sticking when the piston is pushed back into the bore with the new, thicker pads.
Caliper slide bolts will rust and get sticky, not allowing the caliper to release properly and re-center itself on the rotor. What you often see here is that one pad (inner or outer) is totally worn out and the other seems normal.
Rusty brake lines/caliper internals can cause restrictions in the flow of brake fluid and hold pressure after the brake pedal is released.
It is highly recommended that whenever you change your brake pads, you replace the caliper slide bolts use a new brake hardware kit when reinstalling. The additional cost is almost always saved in longer brake pad life, and fewer complications.
once remove the pannel and clear the key pad dust and notice that any damage has happen if damage on the internal keypad get it to a authourized server.........
1) download a copy of the k9 installer and have a license key ready2) open task manager (CTRL+Shift+ESC) and under processes End Process on K9filter.exe3) go to your program files folder and locate the Bluecoat K9 installation4) create a new folder called backup within the above folder5) Click Tools> Folder Options > View > and Show Hidden files6) Copy contents of K9 folder into the new backup folder7) go to start > run > type regedit (Windows vista or 7 go to start and type regedit in the search bar)8) Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Blue Coat Systems9) rename K9 folder to something like OLDK9 (anything but K9)10) Open IE and go to http://www.google.com11) Set Your Password12) Now uninstall the software
there are two methods you can try.
Method 1
If you have the administrator account password for the local computer and the best way to uninstall K9 web filter from the local computer is to re-install it! Re-install k9 web protection will simply get you a new license code and a new password you can enter without the need of old password.
1.Open K9 web protection website
2.Click "get K9 NOW" tab on the top-left
3.Fill out the information and your email.
4.Download the K9 Web protection software from the link included in the email and keep a copy of the license.
5.Grab a version of the K9 web protection installed on your computer, a Google search should do the job.
6.Open "Task Manager" by press (Ctrl+Alt+Delete) and end the process K9filter found in the "Process" tab.
7.Now, you can safely delete the K9 web protection program files. Open computer explorer and go to the folder where K9 is originally installed. It can be found mostly at C:\Program Files/Blue Coat k9 Web Protection.
8.Remove the contents of the folder but not the folder.
9.Run the K9 web protection setup/installer file which has the same version as the one you just delete
10.Provide the license and create your new password
11.Point the installation folder to the same folder you just empty the contents earlier on
12.Now you can have a re-installed K9 web protection with a password you know.
How do you uninstall K9 web protection now? Use the new password you just created
If something goes wrong, install the K9 web protection program downloaded from Step 4.
Method 2
Reboot Windows into safe mode: restart your computer and hold "F8? key until you see the menu to choose "Safe Mode"
Login to windows and go to "Program Files" directory and delete the K9 folder manually (delete only the contents but leave the folder)
Click "Start"->"Run" and type "msconfig"
Check the tab "Services" and tab "Startup"
Un-check anything that is related to k9
If somehow this method is messed up, try to download K9 again to at least restore your previous installation.
If this still does not work, try to install Revo Uninstaller.
Here is a video tutorial
I found this on superuser link at the bottom. No third party software required. Tested with K9 Web Protection version 4.4.268 on Windows Vista SP2 (32-bit). Confirmed by @stiemannkj1 to be working on Windows 7. Should also work on Windows 8.x.
Create a new text file. Copy and paste the following batch script code, then save:@echo off set keys=^ "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Blue Coat Systems"^ "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\k9filter.exe"^ "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Blue Coat K9 Web Protection"^ "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\bckd"^ "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\bckwfs" REM remove registry keys for %%G in (%keys%) do reg delete "%%~G" /f >nul set folders=^ "%programfiles%\Blue Coat K9 Web Protection"^ "%programdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Blue Coat K9 Web Protection" REM remove folders for %%G in (%folders%) do rd /s /q "%%~G" set files=^ "%windir%\System32\drivers\bckd.sys" REM remove files for %%G in (%files%) do del "%%~G" pause exit /b
Right-click the .cmd file and select Run as administrator from the context menu. Wait for the batch script to finish.
Start regedit.exe and navigate to the following registry key:
<code>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\Root\LEGACY_BCKD
Right-click the LEGACY_BCKD key and select Permissions from the context menu. Click Advanced and select the Owner tab. Then select Administrators from the owner list, tick the Replace owner on subcontainers and objects option, and then click OK. Then select Everyone and tick the Allow checkbox for the Full Control permission. Click OK, right-click the key and finally choose Delete.
