According to the manual, you have to:

1. Turn program selector to "off"
2. Turn selector to Drain or Spin
3. Press the start / pause

Wait until program ends.

Open door.

or

Press "start / pause" until the start / pause light flashes.

What Model
The error code E3 means that the door isn't registering as closed, even if physically it is.
This is usually due to a faulty door interlock switch..
Check it physically to see if it has any heat damage or has come partially unplugged.

The door is not locked properly.
Open and close the door again and press the "start reload" button (play and pause button). If necessary, open the washing machine door, remove some of the cothing items and then push the door closed again. You can also try switching the washing machine off and on again, setting the programme and then starting the programme.

Hi,
The "F16" on a Bosch indicates the door is open / unlocked. If it's happening during a wash it would suggest either a faulty door lock, faulty wiring or worse, a faulty main control board. The wash program should halt when this comes up but you should be able to restart it when the door is closed. As the cost of a new door interlock isn't overly expensive. The best way to fix this problem is to purchase a new lock and fit it.

Not much info given, but normally if your power is not the problem and if the cable to the washer is not faulty, then i would try closing the door firmly. if no action, check door limit switch. if open circuit, it will not start. NOTE. Make sure plug is pulled out. Bridge 2 wires out on limit switch and switch on briefly. if there is an indication of water comming in switch off immidiately and replace switch.

Error "E3" on a Bosch front loader means there is a problem with the door. Either it is not closed properly (user error or a blockage) or the locking mechanism has a fault. Check to see that there is no object shoved in the latch hole (our 2yo just did that) preventing the door from closing properly. If it is not that, a technician is advised. I tried to get into the machine to fix out issue but could not get to where the issue is.

My Bosch washer turns on when I turn the temperature selection dial. I assume you have tried this and waited for a few moments for the washer to gather itself and start.
