Tips & Warnings
Do not set the date or time between 8 p.m. and 3 a.m. to avoid damage to your Geneva watch. The gears sit too close together during these times.
If your Geneva watch becomes wet, wipe it dry as soon as possible. Keep your watch away from saunas and hot tubs, as the extreme heat diminishes the watch's water resistance.
I can pull out the crown 1 step to adjust the date and another step to adjust the time but not completely. I looks also like e screw but is that really the case? Do I have to use a lot of force to get the crown out? Jan
If it doesn't come out buy pulling on it, you probably have what is called a screw down crown. It is necessary to unscrew the crown before it will pull out. This is a feature found on diver style and other watches. It helps prevent water from getting in your watch. Once you set your watch, press on the crown and turn at the same time to screw it back down against the case. Snug is tight enough!
is it battery..this will need replacing, if its automatic you need to wear it for about 7hrs to put in a reserve power of about 40hrs or if its hand wound wind it buy turning crown about 20 times..need a little more imfo....or is crown out on side push it back in to case side..
If that is a real Cartier watch and you have lost the crown which is the piece that you use to either wind or set the time then you will need to send it back to Cartier. They dont sell parts to watch repair shops! :-)
If it's a replica then you can take it to a reputable watch repair shop and they can install a generic crown!
