Hi Elaine, The EasyShot stapler is a bottom load stapler. Please follow the steps below to make sure you are loading the staples correctly.

- Turn the tool upside down so that you can read the text "use light duty narrow crown" on the bottom of the magazine

- Open the magazine of the tool

- Place the staples inside the channel (not on the back of the magazine rail)

- Close the magazine.

Attached is a picture so you can see where to place the staples.

If you are still having trouble please contact our customer service department and we can assist you further.

Thank you so so much for the diagram. I have been trying to load this thing for 3 hrs, the wrong way...very odd strange way to load a staple gun.

SOURCE: staples not reaching the front of easy shot

There are several things that can cause this.
Check to make sure a staple or foreign object has not lodged down near the front of the unit. Preventing the staples from reaching the front.
Sometimes a miss fire will curl up a staple and cause a blockage.
Also check to be sure the staples you are using fit this unit.
Check to make sure the staple legs do not bind but slide easily.

Also check to make sure the ram is not jammed in the down position.
This will also prevent staples from reaching the tip.

You may have to send the unit in for service.
Good luck!
Hope this helps

MY POWER SHOT WONT SHOOT THE BRADS A LOT OF TIMES, WILL SHOOT STAPLES EVERY TIME

These tools are designed primarily as staplers, with a gimmick of being able to shoot brads. If you need to do a lot of brad nailing, purchase a brad nailer -- air or electric -- to do the job. In the meantime, try placing one or two drops of thin machine oil (3-in-1 is a common brand) on the impact area of the tool. Sometimes the adhesive used to form brads and staples into strips builds up on the tool surfaces and keeps them from moving freely.

Bostitch oil free finish crown stapler striker won't retract. ( Model sx1838 ) 18 gauge 7 / 32 ( 5.6mm ) crown staples

It's quite possibly under the cap it's the head valve. Does it shoot at all ?
If so hold the trigger after the shot listen for where air is leaking.

Arrow jt27 staple gun won't load or staple

Everyone here is assuming that you have fully operational gun. I have a business where we use these guns. I can tell you now that 3 out of 5 of the Arrow JT-27 just don't work. The staples won't advance. After looking at the information online, it is probably due to a weak spring. The best solution is to go with a different brand of stapler. This one is just not worth the trouble.

Staples are loaded and won't shoot

check for a jammed staple near the end. This often happens and prevents the staple from feeding all the way

What part do I need to remove to make a bostich MIIIFS floor stapler to shoot 2 inch staples

You shouldn't have to do anything to the MIIIFS flooring stapler to shoot 2" staples. It is designed to shoot 1 1/2" to 2" staples right out of the box. If your stapler won't feed 2" staples, check the magazine all the way up to the power head for any foreign material that may hold up your staples.

Every time I load my easy shot 5650 stapler they fall out the end they are supposed to shoot out...why is that ??

The way you load this staple gun is: (1) turn it upside down (2) press the unlock tabs on the rear end of the loading slide trey and pull it back (3) droup a row of staples into the slot w with the pointed end facing up, while keeping the gun upside down, push the spring loaded slide tray forward until the locking tabe engauge. (4) turn the gun rightside up (away from you), and fire it. the stape should come out normally, the rest should not fall out.

Won't shoot staples it still shoots no staples come out was working fine seconds before

look for a jammed staple near the end of the magazine that is stopping them from advancing. Also make sure they move freely in/on the magazine. Double check to ensure that you are using the right staples for this tool.

The door at the back of the staple gun won't close

You have too many staples in the gun. Chances are it was not shooting staples so you put more in. (Only holds 1 strip as if new from box) Check for a jam. Sometimes this keeps more staples from advancing. Please rate
