My tv has been having this problem for a few months now. Since i first noticed, it would have a problem turning on after it was shut off. I realized it would take about 40 min or so unplugged from the outlet to turn back on. the time started to increase as each time it was turned off and now its not turning on at all even after it being unplugged for days.
The standby light is always on when plugged in the wall, but doesnt turn on, no intro noise or lights changing or turning on. It previously had some issue with the textures on the menu screens but never affected the tv in anyway.
In addition, I am very knowledgeable at electronics, technology, computers and such, marginal at electricity and TVs though. Ive tried almost every simple method ruling out simple mistakes on why my Tv is acting this way, I feel the power supply might be failing but it doesnt seem to show any physical ailment to it. Just need some professional opinion.
Frankly, with the price TVs sell for these days, it's not worth the time to fix them, and certainly not worth the cost of taking them in for repair. I suggest just replacing it.

Ur power supply board or whatever they call it is going out or went out! It happened on mine the same way. Cost me bout 250 for parts and labor to fix! What ****** me off is that i spend 1300 dollars on a tv u expect it to last a long time! Sure isnt like the old tvs! Good luck buddy.
Hello The power supply regulator board to your set has the fault. If you try to open the set, or try to repair it by yourself, the warranty will void. The set must have warranty as it is new. Why do you spend for it? Just contact the nearest authorised service center for Sceptre. the components in this set will be very hard to get from open electronic spare part market, and will costly too.
it isnt the Y-SUS board, it is the Power supply, iv fixed this exact problem twice in the last month, try turning the tv on, and when it turns green, unplug it real fast, while light is still green, after 15 seconds plug it back in, then hit the power button, if it dont come on, hit the power button again, this time, as soon as it turns off, hit the power button again to turn back on, sometimes you can trick the tv and it will turn on, at least i was able to do it, and once it comes on, it should work fine, untill you turn it off again.
