Re: Microsoft Outlook Express error. How to stop it?
'421 4.7.0 Not allowed.' means that your account isn't allowed to send through this particular server. Perhaps you changed your password, or your account expired of something like that.

My suggestion use Gmail and import your old email with the aid of the video above. Not all is lost.
Most of the time you can recover the old email and the old address book
im not sure i have windows 7and had to indivdually add my email adresses into my hotmail you might save them to a file and send them to your outlook email adress open and double click on each one to add or right click to adress book this works on outlook express
You can use RecoveryFix for Outlook Express recovery software which is capable to recover permanently deleted, highly encrypted and compressed emails of an Outlook Express mailbox. User can easily download the trial version of DBX recovery utility from here http://www.outlookexpressrepair.net/
Sounds like it's self explanatory. Perhaps Hotmail is no longer free for Outlook Express. If you would like to use Outlook Express as your defautl email client and use a POP3 based email account, may I refer you to www.hotpop.com? You can apply for a free POP3 email account which you can set up to run with your Outlook Express. You may also want to check into www.gmail.com. They support web based inboxes as well as POP3 configuration for your Outlook Express.
you have been using outlook, but you should still have outlook express on the programmes menu, when you open outlook express up it will ask if you wish to make this programme your default email programme.
