if this is on a Goldwing, it appears that you have a shorted pin int he connector. Disconnect the radio and make sure all of the pins are straight and connecting properly.

Do you hear the speaker protection relay click after about 10 seconds when you turn the receiver on? Does the display show PROTECTION on the display? These conditions indicate a bad channel that will keep the receiver from functioning but you still have lights. Steve

Resetting the system

Use this procedure to reset all the receiver's settings to the factory default. Use the front panel

controls to do this. Set MULTI-ZONE to OFF.

• Disconnect the iPod and USB memory device from the receiver beforehand.

1 Switch the receiver into standby.

2 While holding down ENTER on the front panel, press ?µ STANDBY/ON.

The display shows RESET < NO >.

3 Select 'RESET' using PRESET +/-, then press ENTER on the front panel.

The display shows RESET? OK.

4 Press ENTER to confirm.

OK appears in the display to indicate that the receiver has been reset to the factory default settings.

• Note that all settings will be saved, even if the receiver is unplugged.

Display shows overload and receiver shuts down

This means that one (or maybe more) of the amplifiers is shorted. Remove all speakers cables and try again. If you get the same message that means that one (or more) amplifiers is fried. To find which and why you will have to open the unit and test the amplifiers.

Surrond sound not working

it all depends what digital mode you use ,yes in Pro Logic mode on the display it shows only 1 S but if you try the balance for the SL-SR you will hear the difference .
