I have a sanyo tv, purchased a sony dvd player/dvp-sr210p. I need the dvd remote to power the tv on/off. Note the sanyo tv is currently connected to xfinity cable box. Cable is Comcast, I think.

Connect the DVD player using the audio/video cable (yellow,red,white) to the input on the back of your tv. yellow cable to yellow input and so on

If you are plugging your DVD Power Plug into the TWC Box. Unplug it and plug it into a 'known' hot socket, (wall..con strip.etc.). Ensure the AC plug is inserted fully into the DVD player. The TWC AC connection may be disabled.
