YOUR ISSUE SEEMS TO INDICATE TO AREAS TO LOOK INTO THE NON WASH OR NO AGITATION USUALLY IS DUE TO A BAD WATER PRESSURE SWITCH, THE NO DRAIN NO SPIN IS USUALLY DUE TO A CLOGGED PUMPED OR IMPEEDED PROPELLER, ARE U SURE U CHECKED IT WELL? THE ONLY OTHER THING COULD BE IS UR CONTROL BOARD IS MIS COMMUNICATING WITH UR DRAIN PUMP?

Testimonial: "Thank you! pictures helpful too. I'm wondering if the problem is as you said, the control board miscommunication with the pump. As the pump is definitely clean, nothing at all in it - in fact, removed pump and hooked it up to a power source and it works fine. So put it back into the machine - so far , so good. Almost as though it has been reset. But this is the third time have done this process & it always works fine for a few washes then the same problem of not draining water occurs. Hope this time is different! Appreciate your help!"

if ur pump is electrical as well did u check it for full voltage it may show well on a meter test for ohms continuity but fail mechanically or electrically? if its not getting the full voltage or is shutting down due to voltage issues from the coils u will get the same thing so it may not yet be ur control board but I suspect control board can be the issue as well?

Kenmore washer model111, will fill, agitate but won't drain? i am assuming that it is the water pump, but why would it fill up???

This is almost certainly a simple problem with your empty pump filter being clogged. The empty cycle is timed and if it can't get all the water out in time because the filter is blocked and slowing the empty down, then it will fail safe and won't step on to the final spin cycle with excess water in the drum.
You need to locate and clean the filter. Depending on the model (not familiar which with the model you mention) there is probably a round filter cap on the front of the machine at the bottom (It may be behind a small door or hidden behind a clip on panel on the bottom) Many models of this design also have a small hose to the right of the filter cap that you can pull out, remove a plug from and drain off any water in the filter before you remove the filter and get your floor wet, so take a look for this before you remove the filter and get soaked.

Not sure about your question "Why would it fill up" Why wouldn't it fill up? Like walking through an entry barrier and then discovering the exit is locked, at the time you go in, you don't know you can

Fills with water, drains, will not spin. sometimes will not fill

This is almost certainly the filter to the empty pump blocked. When you power up the machine, the first thing it does is make sure there is no water left over in the tub, if it can't evacuate any water it finds there, it won't go any further. Same on a spin, if after a set time the water hasn't emptied the empty cycle will stop but the spine cycle wont start because there is still water in the drum.

Locate and clean your empty pump filter.

HELP!! Washer machine wont work. Doesnt drain or spin. Clicks to drain and spin but nothing happens, the timer still counts down as if everything is fine.

This assumes that you have a basic Kenmore / Whirlpool top load, direct drive, neutral drain (it doesn't spin until the pump removes most of the water) machine.

If the machine starts, fills and goes through its' agitate cycle fine, the problem is likely not in the motor or transmission.

This type of washer uses a reversible motor. When turning one way, the machine agitates the clothes.

When the timer gets to the spin cycle, the motor reverses, drives the pump (directly from the motor) for a period of time and then goes into spin cycle.

This appears then that is is either the connection to the motor itself or the timer.

The timer is driven by a separate motor on the control panel so if the contacts for the spin cycle are worn, the timer will move but the motor won't turn on.

Stopped working mid cycle. The timer still counts down but does not fill, agitate, spin, drain. And before it stopped, the water that was draining out smelled really bad.

The filter on your pump is probably clogged with lint and stuff. You have to remove the bottom front panel, 3 torx screws underneath. The panel will drop and come off. Drain off the excess water from the hose you see. The white filter cover is right in front. Get yourself a bunch of towels or a good big plastic bag to collect water. Unscrew the filter cover and twist the filter out. Clean out all the stuff and put it back in carefully.

Next: You can use Affresh to clean your front loader. Deposits of soap and other such things can be stuck around the inside tub of your washer. Try this product, it works great on all front loaders. Use quite hot water with the Affresh pellet with no clothes and run the machine through a cycle. Also helps with any stagnant water smells. Have you cleaned out your pump lately. Put the pellet inside the machine, not in the soap dispenser.
Pl give me a good rating for the free help, thanks.

Indesit w93 washing machine fills with water but doesn't start washing

Hi there. I have an old model, the indesit WM12. Never counted the flashing light (yours was 10) but my dial started clicking constantly at the drain part. I called Idesit and they told me it was a blockage in the filter.
The filter they speak of it located, on mine, at the front of the machine at the very bottom on the right. It is a black dial about 3 - 4 inches in diameter. Unscrew that anti-clockwise (a real pain because so much water comes out. My wife and I unscrewed it, filled a baking tray with water, screwed it back up, emptied / substituted tray then same all over again - until empty. Though putting it on drain again and again helped at same time). When I pulled out the filter found a 'colour catcher' sheet in it. We used them first time ever the other day. Removed that, gave filter a wee clean and, hey presto, all is working again. Hope that helps. Jim
