Error msg appear set belt cg dont know what to do.. am i have to replace the photodeveloper cg?

The error can either be caused by the OPC/OPC Marker assembly or the Main Motor assembly. Please follow the recommended troubleshooting steps:
  1. Power the printer off, remove and reseat the OPC unit, and power the machine back on. Print a test page. If error continues, proceed to step 2.
  2. Power the printer off and remove the OPC unit. Check the OPC Marker Sensor. If it is unsnapped or unplugged, reseat or replug it, and power the printer back on. Print a test page. If error continues, proceed to step 3.
  3. Remove the OPC unit and check it for scratches or defects. Also check the the markers on the OPC to make sure they are not damaged. Is the belt scratched or damaged? If the OPC is at or near the end of its life, OPC unit must be replaced. If the belt is in good condition, contact Lexmark technical support (if printer is under warranty) or your local authorized service provider for assistance.

Hi,

you may do a test print to show the result of your life spend on your OPC Drum.

Press and hold the stop button for 5 sec and release it should print out the info. or you can check on your pc by smartpanel.

if it show you that your OPC (image) life spend is more than 25k it is time to replace a new one.

Tally t80063 service error 9

The SVC E9 error on the 8008 indicates a 'Belt Marker' error.
Basicaly the printer is not detecting the OPC belt rotating.
Check the OPC is not damaged, in particular check the left side of the OPC there should be a black squair that trips the light sensor which detects the OPC belt rotating. Check there is no damage here.

Locate the belt mamarker sensor, and clean it, this is on th left side of the pritner towards the top near the drum cleaner I think. It reflects of the left side of the OPC belt.

Check the OPC belt is turning, there could be a motor / drive problem.

Replace belt CG

Set Belt CG The OPC belt cartridge needs replacement.

Replacing the Optical Photoconductor (OPC)
Belt Cartridge
Replace the OPC belt cartridge at least once every 12 months, or when
the control panel display indicates that replacement is necessary. The life
of the OPC belt cartridge for the T8106 is about 60,000 images (15,000
color pages), at a 5% toner coverage rate on letter-size paper.
1. Turn the power switch off.
2. Unlock the lever to open the front
cover. This releases the pressure on the
toner cartridges.
3. Unlock the lever to open the top cover
fully.
4. Pull the green OPC belt cartridge lock
levers up until they unlock.

5. Pull the used OPC belt cartridge
upward and out of the printer carefully
to avoid spilling toner.
6. Discard the used OPC belt cartridge
Caution! Do not touch or wipe off any powder that is on the OPC belt, nor expose
the OPC belt to light.
7. Remove the two shipping pins from the
new OPC belt cartridge.
8. Remove the protective sheet that covers
the photosensitive belt.
9. Slide the new OPC belt cartridge downward
into both green lock-lever guides
and into the printer carefully.
10. Push the green OPC belt cartridge lock
levers down until they lock.
11. Close the top and front covers carefully
until they both lock.

OPC Belt needs replacing

Try pressing 1 and 7 at the same time
The LCD will show "OPC belt 1. Reset 2. Exit
Select 1 to reset the life counter.

This is supposed to be done when replacing the drum unit...but I've found that I can get 1.5 to 2 lifespans from a single unit.

TALLY GENICOM 8008

The SVC E9 error indicates a 'BELT MARKER' error.
This means the printer is not detecting the OPC Belt as rotating.

This error can be caused by a damaged OPC belt, you can check this by removing the OPC belt from the printer and look at the OPC belt it should have a smooth green coating if there is damage to this belt it may cause this error.

The error can also be caused by a damaged 'Transfer Belt' when the OPC belt has been removed from the printer look inside the printer where the OPC belt used to be located you should see a black belt towards the back of the printer, if this belt is damaged it can also cause the error.

Ensure the OPC Belt locates in the printer correctly.

If the OPC belt and Transfer belt look to be free from damage and a are located correctly in the printer you may have a faulty belt marker sensor or faulty OPC belt.
You can try substituting the OPC belt for an alternative one if you have this available to see if you can narrow the problem down to the sensor.
