Check that the file has been moved to your PC.
1 - If it has, then put the card back in camera, go through the menu system and reformat the card. You MUST do this in camera.
2 - If not, put the card back in PC and see if there are any files still there - if so, copy them to PC and go to 1 above.

Has the image/sound file been transferred , by default, to your computer. check downloads folder... If you know the name of the file then do a search for it. you should reinsert card back to computer and check it's contents there

After copying pics to pc I reinserted SD card into Camera. I twill not do anything but tell me no image/no sound. please help

Have camera format SD. If you pull SD from PC without "ejecting" it, the SD can get scrambled. Having the camera format it should fix that.

Hello, my Nikon D-90 is stuck with the r-33 error message with the f-stop flashing. This happened after I emptied the memory card onto my laptop from a card reader. When I reinserted it the camera...

If you did not set write protect on the card before you attached it to the computer, it may have got corrupted. If you are sure all the images are backed up, format the card in the camera.

Hi, I got a new ProSpec 4gb flash card and used it last night in my canon 40d. I forgot to format before I initially used it. Shot lots of great images that I could see on the camera back, but now I am...

I do not have a solution, but I do have same problem, or a variation of it: filled my ProSpec 2GB, removed it from my Canon G10 to insert a fresh card, then later reinserted the ProSpec to transfer photos to computer. Several tries, and no go. First time the camera display read "card locked"; I removed it and it was not locked, but I gently toggled the card switch back and forth anyway, then reinserted the card in camera, and the display read "card damaged". I then inserted the card into a card reader, actually several of them, and the computer did not recognize the card. So, I too am stuck.
ProSpec is a Calumet product, so I called a Calumet retailer (close to me in cambridge MA); the problem was new to them, and they asked me to bring the card by, so they could try opening it on their equipment, which I will do tomorrow, and I will let you know.
I do not think that I have ever had to format a card on a G10, and I would highly recommend that you not try formatting a card that has important photos. I believe that formatting always begins with erasing everything on anything.
Best, Jack Lueders-Booth [email protected]
PS - I cannot recall ever having experienced problems such as this with either Ilford HP5, or Kodak Tri X.

SONY H2 does not turn on

You should always use the "safely remove hardware" icon at the bottom of your screen. Now, remove the card and the battery...press all the buttons...leave it alone for 20 minutes...insert the card and then the battery...turn it on.

Problems trying to play back images on my CF card

Sometimes if you take the card from the camera to the computer and the computer rotates the file from landscape to portrait it will no longer playback on the camera.

"incompatible jpeg image" message

Unfortunately Windows in particular can mess with the contents of the card just by reading it - it creates a thumbnails file on the card without asking etc etc.
It shouldn't mess with the actual pictures unless you have rotated them or perhaps removed the card without safely removing the hardware first.
Try reformatting the card on the camera and you should be good to go from there.

Internal memory

When a memory card is inserted into the camera, it automatically switches over to saving the images to the card. You don't need to do anything else.

"For" Message

The camera is telling you to format the card. You can do this in the cameras playback menu. That should take care of the problem.

Camera is "frozen"

Use a card reader, in case you cannot connect the camera to the PC, and download all card contents into the PC. Use a known good card on the camera, see if there's any difference. You can also format your old card, just make sure you don't do it in a different format that will later cause you more trouble. When the camera was stored for 6 months, did it have batteries in it? Check for corrosion on the contacts, and try cleaning if there is any. you can use a pencil eraser, just make sure to clean all the pieces. Hope you work it out
