If you cannot set the day itself then maybe it thinks it is the wrong year? unfortunately you may need to go back through the dates to get the correct year.

Thanks Mate. That's actually what solved the problem. I hadn't been setting it all the way through to the correct year & didn't know. Also found a tutorial for setting the same on another EQS model watch. Very helpful.

SOURCE: Date setting on Citizen 0510 chronograph

Try this method. Set the date until it reads a couple of days in the past and then set the correct time. Of course do not touch your date or time settings between the hours of 9PM-1AM. Wait until the next day, then move the hour hand forward until you reach the current date with the correct time.

SOURCE: can't set day and date on cote d' azur watch

Actually I can't solve this. My son bought the same watch on a Carnival Cruise and had the same problem. Upun closer inspection with a magnifying glass, it is obvious that the hands on the day and date dials are fake!! They are just attached in the center to the watch face. The other two push knobs on the watch also do nothing at all. So basically a rip off, but at least it was only $20. At least it keeps time for now. As usual, if it seems to good to be true, it almost always is. Sorry about that, but we are in the same club with you.

SOURCE: How to set an Armitron watch. Can't set the days correctly.

mcdevito75 here, The stem has 2 positions, Carefully slip a fingernail under the stem and lift, it may take a few trys to get used to it, in this first position you should be able to set the DATE very easily and Maybe the DAY of the wwek also, turn the stem 1 way to change the DATE and the other way For the DAY of the week., Let"s figure you can only set the DATE in this first position, First thig to do is set the DAY of the week, go thru the watches 24 hour cycle and set the DAY to 1 DAY before the DAY you need, now in that first position of the stem, set the DATE to 1 DATE before the DATE you need, now in the 2nd position we all know pull the stem out to set the time of day, go thru the 24 hour cycle to bring up the DAY of the week and DATE you need. Now your watch is set and will change on tome at around mid-nite.

The calendar skipped ahead a day and I can't get it back to where it reads the correct date. Can you help?

Pull the stem out to the time set level. Turn the hand around until the date change. Now push the stem back in, pull to date set level and change to current date. Now the watch is at midnight for that current date. Note you can set to current time of day. The Watch will automatically change to correct date for next day at midnight as it should.

Can you set the time going counter clockwise on a watch

yes, you can set the time counter-clockwise on a watch. The only difficulty that may arise from this is making sure the date window (if you have one) syncs up; but a 1 hr change for time change will not make a difference. For best results start setting with your day window reading 1 day before the current day and begin turning clockwise. Right when the day/date changes the watch is reading 12am(midnight); set accordingly.

Setting day and date - the day and date change at the wrong tome of day

To sync the correct 12 hour with your day you need to set the date to the day before (if today is Wed 21, then make sure the day window reads Tues 20). Then spin the analog hands until the the date window turns to Wed 21. At this point your watch is reading 12 AM (midnight). Then keep turning to set the correct time. If it is 9 am then stop the hands the first time you hit the 9 marker. If it is 9pm, then keep turning until the SECOND TIME your hour hand meets the 9 marker. This is now set for 9 pm. The day (Mon thru Sun) sometimes needs to be set seperately from the day; it may take a couple of tries but use the directions above and patience and you will achieve your goal.
That's how you do it. If you need more clarification let me know.

Can't seem to get AM & PM set properly

Had Pulsar analog watch. Couldn't set either day or date properly due to being unable to signify AM or PM. When days changed one or the other would be 12 hours off.
""googled" adjusting Pulsar watches" and found site which explained how. You set day of week and date to previous day and date and then move watch time ahead until day and date are correct. Then set watch time. Seems to work.

Changing the DAY on this analog watch.

Turning it backwards didn't work on my watch. I ended up winding the time ahead several days worth to show the right day of the week (being careful to turn it to the correct 9 o'clock of the day, for me is was the first for morning.) Then I could go ahead and change the date using the first click postition of the stem.

I see that light bulb going off and you whispering "why, of course!"

Watch has correct day and date only 1/2 each day

The watch thinks at Noon it is really midnite, so you must scroll 12 hours ahead to repair this. There are usually 2 "clicks" on the stem of the watch when you pull it out, 1 will set time, 1 will set the day/date, be careful to pay close attention to which is happening when you pull out the stem, and setting should go well after that.
