Not if it never did it before
when you draw off hot water , there is normally fresh water let in to keep the unit full
this cold water hitting the boiling water will produce steam which is allowed to escape hence the noise.

I don't have a manual on how to use the Sunbeam Tea Drop Hot Tea maker, where do I find how to use it ?

I had the same problem as mine was given to me without the instructions, but its very simple to use. You just open the top of it, remove the little tea basket and the basket holder. Next you want to fill the little pot to the desired amount of ounces and then poor it down into the tea maker. never go past the fill line that's etched inside cause you will be cleaning up water from everywhere! Next, put the pot on the heated plate and put the tea basket and holder back in place. Put your chosen tea in the little basket and then close the top of the tea maker. It will start to brew the tea now. Always have your pot in place before closing the top, otherwise the tea will start brewing all over the hot plate. you'll probably hear this crackling popping sound, and that's just the tea maker heating and pushing the heated water through the machine. Once the tea maker has stopped crackling and popping and is no longer dripping, the tea is ready. When you get done using it, run a full pot of water through the machine to clean it. Repeat until water comes out clear. Also clean your basket and holder and occasionally you're gonna want to clean the part where the tea drips from the maker into the pot. You just reach under and pull it out, clean it and replace it. It just slides right out and back in. Tea can stain it and build up there, so you definitely want to clean that. Be really careful because it gets really hot, and releases lots of steam if you happen to open it while its brewing for some reason. Occasionally you will need to clean the inside of the actual tea maker. When you do this, make sure it is unplugged. Make sure not to get the hot plate wet. Clean with soapy water and carefully rinse it out. there's a little rubber stopper inside at the back of it and you want to take it out while cleaning and put it back when you're done. Once you've gotten it all cleaned and rinsed out, run a few pots of water through it, and if there's nothing in the machine or pot, it should be clean. If there is, carefully rinse the inside of the machine out again, then run a pot of water through again. If there's still stuff in the machine, just keep repeating til the water and machine are clear. I cant stress enough to be careful because of the electrical parts and you don't want to ruin the machine. Just take your time and be careful. Hope this was helpful!

Keurig coffee maker makes loud noise single cup brewer. Make loud noise prior to brewing.

The brewer should be de-scaled at least every 3-6 months. Scale is harmless, but if left unattended, it can hinder optimal brewer performance. De-scaling your brewer regularly helps maintain the heating element, removable water reservoir and other parts of the brewer that come in contact with water. Better water quality and water heating means a better cup of coffee, tea, hot cocoa or iced beverage. We recommend de-scaling your brewer at least every 6 months (every 3 months if your water has a high mineral content). The de-scaling process involves using 48 ounces of undiluted white vinegar.

Take 48 oz of white vinegar. place in tank. pretend you are making coffee (Do No Use K Cup). let the water fill you mug. then empty that mug. Do it again until tank is empty. then let sit for 4 hours.
Then fill with fresh water to the top. let that tank of water run thru. towards the end taste the water.
If you taste vinegar..use more clean water, until the taste is ok.

I tried to help you. Please help me and Vote/Rate this response. Thanks and good luck

How do I set the brew ratio?

Hello, I have worked on many bunn and other make ice tea makers but am not too familiar with this one, but as is common to all there should be 2 timers, one for the hot one for the cold. They are normally located under the top panel or inside the front panel. for 3 gallons you should be brewing 64oz of hot water through the 1oz tea bags (3-4) depending on taste as a rule of thumb. Please feel free to comment again if you have any other questions. Good Luck! Mike

TB3 Brewer is brewing weak tea - how do I adjust?

Hello. Yes, however, you would need to adjust the brewing cycle time to make up for the lost bypass water in order to get the same container level. In other words, the cold water part of the brew cycle is separate from the hot water part of the cycle, if you put in less cold water, and want to keep you container filling to its current level, you would need to increase the hot part of the brew cycle to make up for it, other wise it will brew less into your normal container. If you go to:
http://www.bunnomatic.com/
find your unit by model/type, you should be able to get a owners/installation manual, this will tell how to do it, or call the manufacture.
Hope that helps, and thank you.
