You may need to have a charged battery pack attached to the camcorder (or use the mains power lead, if applicable), so that the camcorder has power to open the cassette door. You may even need to turn the camcorder on. These are safety refinements so that the eject button does not accidentally open the door, leading to possible loss of cassette or damage to the camcorder itself.
I have heard of this only a few months ago, it was the way the camera door can get fouled up by a wonky disk not stopping at the right place. Try to shoot a few seconds of extra movie, then try to open the door again. If that does not help press the reset button for 30 seconds to open the door (see handbook) on doing that.
Hello. Yes, you do need power to open the disc door. When you slide the disc cover open switch, you should hear the little musical sound, and then the "preparing to open cover" appears in the lcd display. Then the door opens automatically. As for charging the corder, you can get a new ac charger for 25 bucks on Ebay. Sony uses a special plug that is inserted. If you want to go the cheaper route, I saw mobile *battery* chargers for your unit(not to be used as camcorder power supplies) as inexpensive as 8 bucks...most were 10 dollars and up...the input voltage/current to the cam is 12v @ 500ma. However, the fact that the connector isn't the generic "cylinder" shaped power connector makes purchasing a compatable power source a necessity. ---Rick
look at the battery and then the camera, matching up the positive and negative, close camera door, the on button is the little button on the left at the top of the camera, hope this helps you
First off, the xbox 360 needs to be repaired. If there is a game disk in there, there is a way to get it out. You will need to remove the faceplate, and look for a small hole just under the disk drive area. If you straiten a paper clip, you then push it into the hole and the disk drive will slowly open.
I am curious, did anyone start having this problem after going through x-ray at airport?? We had trouble after that?? I paid a lot of money for this thing and I am ready to smash it hard, real hard!!
In case anybody read this.... I have a GS-36 that would not eject the tape. I removed all the screws from the bottom and pulled the bottom plate off. Then I fidgeted with the mechanism near the eject button towards the front of the camera. In my case it had just become stuck and needed to be gently pried open. Tested it a bunch of times with tape - seems to be o.k.!
You dont say whether it is powering up or not??.Have you tried removing battery and reinserting it.this can sometimes reset things.Other than this and without seeing cant recommend anything else sorry
