Remove charge means remove AC adapter from laptop. and change to battery working quickly. the switch signal from battery charging chips to EC controller then go to SB/NB/video(all in one) bridge and. so any hang or slow switching most may be SB/NB/video bridge BGA issue cause over heating. rare EC or battery charge chips issue. I think.

Question not clear.
In general whe you remove your charger: if your battery is OK the system will continue to operate on the battery untill it is empty.
If the battery is bad, your system will shut down and your data in memory may be lost.
A battery wil last only a few years, has to be replaced.
Application hang upon removal of the charger may point to a battery problem, a hardware problem or an error in the energy settings in your OS, cfr question of Mike.

Whats the operating system on this laptop? I asked this as u unplug the computer Win VISTA will slow down and cause other program to not run in general, the setting can be changed in control panel settings. Or upgrade O/S to Win 7.
