It was doing fine up until recently. I do not know very much about electronics so I can't tell you what is or is not in the right place. The fan in the upper compartment is running, and it's making a noise, if somewhat more high-pitched than normal. I don't know where a compressor is or what it would be.
Your wine cooler problem could be caused by any number of things ranging from a bad thermistor (temp. sensor), loss of refrigerant in the compressor (leak), a failed thermocouple, bad circuit board, etc.. I would recommend having a reputable appliance repair shop look at it. Repair parts are available through Sears Parts Direct. If the repair shop estimate is over $300 - $400, you're probably better off just replacing it with a new one; unless you're particularly enamoured of this particular model for some reason. Good luck.

The price looks fine for my area its about a 3 hour job done properly. you should consider a new wine cooler and cut your losses because if their only replacing the compressor they should be replacing the cap tube and liquid drier if the cap tube is not replaced could be a waste of money
