What does the charge plus+ light and the green light mean together

Bright green means there's power to the power adapter, light green means it's charging, and when the light goes off it's charged. It usually means your laptop is fully charged when you plug it in, and it goes off. And the laptop doesn't power the battery, the battery powers the laptop. Does the laptop come on when plugged to a electrical source, you should be able to plug it in and use it while its directly plugged to the wall via the adapter. Make sure your using the correct voltage and amps in order to charge the battery, And when your charging the voltage going in is about 19+ volts but the battery only put out 11 or 12 volts to the laptop.
So do a check list so you know what you did, and write it down. I would check the adapter with a volt meter first see how much its putting out. If it's not putting out enough. If so you found your problem. If not move onto the battery, and check it with the meter to see how much its charged. Batteries go bad and have to be replaced once in a while. Iv'e bought 2 off ebay myself, and there not to expensive. Let us know how it goes, or call up and talk to an expert, it will save you alot of time. Hope i helped a little.

Depending on the color the lights blinking. Red light blinking usually means charging. Green light on or blinking usually means charged. If its blinking red and green, usually means bad, or defective battery.

red and green light together means the maximum weight capacity has been surpassed.

Check if the power source is charging. That means, the plug that goes into the wall should have a brick like box in the middle of the cord between the plug and laptop. That has a light on it. If it takes a charge and stays charged, the light will be green and bright. If there is no light, this is your problem. If no light, the power supply is shot and you need to get a new one. You can get that from a batteries plus store or the manufacturer. If the power supply charges and holds a charge, has the green light, but the laptop still wont come on, you should seriously consider taking it to an independant laptop repair place. They are pretty good on prices, as long as they are independant and not a manufacturer or retail store. The reason for that is, if it is in the laptop, it is a nightmare to troubleshoot if you don't have experience as inside the machine it is so packed in and compressed, you may never get it back together again.

What's the make and model of your laptop? Most times the flashing lights will tell what the issue is.

If the laptop will not boot up so you can use it then the things below applies.

Sounds like your power cord is bad. Or the DC Jack is not soldered on good. Just because the power cord is new does not mean it works. Some Power Cords have a little green light on the adapter to show that it is plugged into the wall and getting power, check yours.

Anything ever post to the screen when you hit the power button? Do the fans start up, the hard drive spins? If not, maybe your power cord has enough power to emit a light but not enough to start the fan or disk drive.

If it's not the power cord or dc jack, then you have a Memory or Video Card issue.

OK after reading your post a 2nd time I think your only issue is that the battery is not charging, correct? If that is true the things below applies:

Either the battery is bad or the power cord is bad. Just because they are new don't mean they work. See if the Adapter portion of the power cord has a green indicator light that comes on when you plug it to an outlet. If it does, and that light is not on the power cord has issues. Also I hope you did not buy one of those one size fits all power cords from the big box stores where the end has a bag of different interchangable parts until you find one that fits into the laptop. If so, buy a power cord off ebay that is made for your laptop.

The battery might be bad and not hold a charge. I have seen new batteries that did not work.

Red light normally means that the battery needs charging. The green flashing light can mean the battery is charging or has charged, and the same with the solid green light. Green in this case is good.

Charge the unit overnight and see what the indicator state is. It should not take more than 8 hours of charging for a Li-ion battery. Once you know what the full state light looks at, then you can tell what the charging indicator looks like.

In all cases, ensure you are using the proper charger with the unit.

The manual says that a red light is a charging error. Green means it is charging and the light goes out when charging is complete.

The camera must be turned off when charging the battery. They recommend a full 8 hour charge for a new battery, then allow it to discharge completely (leave the camera on I guess) and charge it again "before use".

I went to the Black & Decker site and downloaded the pdf manual of the electromate 400. It says you're supposed to charge it until you have one red light, one yellow light, and one green light. I expect that 2 red lights and a green light means it's not fully charged. The manual also said you can't overcharge using the 120 V. method. Good luck.

Green light of the charger off means there is a short circuit, maybe exactly at the plug, so battery is impossible to charge. If not this, smth probably has fried.

I have the same camera.
But when your camera is flashing the green light, that means it's transferring pics.
If the light is just green on the camera, that means that it's charging i think.
But i don't know how to tell when my camera is through charging is my problem.
