Lasco whirlpool tub leaks. Water runs out on floor from underneath apron. Had Plumber look at it. He determined it was not leaking from water pipes. Tub is sandwiched between walls. He saw no leak coming from jets on side facing room. No leak from pump. Said it could be from jets on side against wall but of course couldn't see that side. Saw water rolling from under tub out onto floor. no crack in tub. He said it was not a plumbing repair but an appliance repair. Can this be fixed without tearing out walls? Or can jets somehow be plugged so I can at least use tub without using jets?
Sorry, the tub will have to pulled out to find out what is leaking so it can be fixed. There is just no other way UNLESS you can open up the wall on the blind side of the tube. (but its probably and exterior wall...if the house is vinyl sided, it can be done. If brick, you'll have to pull the tub). If you just wanted to convert to a tub only, maybe Bathfitters has an insert solution...
