Heat Dry LED is very dim.

Kitchenaid KUDE20IXWH1 dishwasher. Dishwasher seems to function normally, but the Heat Dry LED is so dim that it appears to not be illuminated. If I shut off all power to the dishwasher (turn off the breaker) and then turn it again after a short time, the LED is brightly illuminated, but then it fades out again in a couple of minutes.

This is going to sound like a lame answer, but please trust me on this...

Don't mess with it. It is either an LED going bad, or a corrosion/resistance problem where it is wired in. It is a _very_ minor thing, and messing with it could cost you an entire computer board; (hundreds of dollars).

Do yourself a big favor and live with it. (really).

Sincerely,
Gregg

My clean button keeps flashing and can not get it to reset

The only way to clear this fault code is to do a key pad dance. I know sounds funny.... I will explain, the sani buttom and heat dry are the buttoms needed. close dishwasher, push sani then heat, sani heat then heat, sani then heat. Yes three time.... This will make all the lights flash then go through a system check. This will take about 2 mins or so to complete. The dishwasher will return to normal function wise.
Basically your fault is a heater circuit problem and will need to be looked at to determine what part of the circuit failed.
Good Luck

I have a kitchenaid dishwasher modl # KUDIO01IL. Someone opened the door during a wash cycle and now the CLEAN LED is flashing. Tried pushing cancel and unplugging. No change. Any ideas/

Hi
Please check if the clean light is blinking 7 times. If yes then please reset the power to the dishwasher. After, 5 minutes check if you are still getting the same error. If yes, then it is a water heating fault. To resolve this error try pressing this reset sequence-- Heat Dry - Normal - Heat Dry - Normal or High Temp - Air Dry - High Temp - Air Dry.
If this doesn't work then its an issue with the heater circuit, door switch, wash pump not pumping the water past the heater efficiently or due to lack of water to heat. Please make sure that heater is not open circuited and is heating the water efficiently. If heater is fine then make sure water pressure is optimum and fill valve is working fine. Hope this helps... Please post back for further assistance.

////////////////////my kitchenaid dishwasher lights are flashing

Can you explain the issue in detail - is your dishwasher not working at all, or the buttons continue to be lit up, etc?

First and foremost, check the dooe switch to see if it is functioning properly.

Whirlpool dishwasher reset code

Yup, found it on another site..I had the same issue today.

Reset code: Push 1. Heat Dry 2. Normal 3. Heat Dry 4. Normal

wait about 2 minutes as the controller resets itself. You should see all the leds flash on and then wash and rinse leds stay on for about 30 seconds. A minute or so later ..presto, my machine worked again.

My machine is not the GU3200XTP, but in the same Whirlpool tall tub series (same manual) so leds may not have the same name.
