Heart rate monitor a Pulsar chest strap, communicates for the first 13-23 minutes. Then stops communicating with the treadmill. The handlebar sensors still works when gripped. I have tried changing the battery in the chest monitor. Still works for only the first 13-23 minutes. Also tried replacing the reciever in the treadmill. Still no solution.

This mean that you unit is not equiped with a receiver inside the treadmill. Some models that was an option. Polar is the only brand that works with Lifefitness. You may have a bad upper display board. You can buy a replacement for a small amount of money.

Enter the diagnostic menu and ensure the "telemetry" option is enabled in the managers config menu.

If the EFX 544 has polar Heart Rate attach to the upper electronics your chest strap should be transmitting and the unit should be receiving. If your chest strap is more than 3 yrs old usually the battery will die and needs to be replaced or you have a defective receiver and will have to be replaced
