For HL-T5087SA DLP I have lost all inputs to tv. Can't turn off or on with main control in center. All remote functions do not function.

Can only turn on or off by unplugging. No control buttons on side of tv work. Volume control image stuck on screen image. Screen image is ok.

It sounds that the main power regulator board to your TV has damaged. Contact any service technician.

Lost Remote Control? Here's a way to help.

So you have lost, or, your remote doesn't work? You can't "Do anything" without it.... Right.... NO Wrong... ALL TV sets have a number, usually about 5 - 6, "Buttons" on the side, front, somewhere. usually close to the "Power ON" switch. Now these "Buttons" will perform nearly all, if not all, of the main functions of your "Remote" They WILL be marked, MENU, +, -, <, >, & OK or ENTER. Now you simply have to depress each button to access the "Functions" you want. One button WILL control the "Function" say Channel, and the <, >, will Go UP & DOWN. This is the same for everything. So one button will make it, say go UP, another will make it,say, go DOWN. Repeated presses on the "Function" Button will scroll through the "Functions" IE: Channel, Brightness/Contrast, Selecting Inputs, once "Selected" another "Button" will move the "Selector" through to the Bottom & another will scroll it back Up, sometimes the ONE button will simply continuously scroll "right around" Of course have a look in your manual... you know that paper thing you shoved away in the cupboard... This will explain it all. ALL TV's and devices that use a "Remote" are ALWAYS able to "Control" the MAIN functions of the unit, via keys on the actual unit itself. So don't despair, just spend a bit of time learning your "Buttons" that way even if the "Remote" does go walkabout, or the batteries go flat, or it just stops working.. well now you can still have complete control.. the only draw back is you will have to get put of your seat to do it. A small price to pay?

I have a Samsung HL-T5087SA DLP TV and it keeps saying "Check Fan #1" and after a few minutes the TV goes off. Do you know how to fix it?

Well I suppose the first thing to do is see that FAN#1 is actually doing the job! If not then replace it.

If it;s turning off then there is a rise in temperature that is causing t6he sail safe sensor to sw2itch off to protect against further damage or even fire

OFF and ON

There can be several causes for this, few of which you can do anything about. However, a few things to try.

1) Replace the batteries on your remote control.
2) Try resetting the logic functions on your tv by unplugging it for a minute, then plugging it back in.
3) Try covering up the infra-red receptor on the front of your TV to see if you're getting unwanted signals from the receptor. taping a piece of foil over that area is perfect. If it doesn't stop after doing these two things you'll probably need to take it to a shop.
4) If this does stop it, then look for unexpected signal sources. Have you added a remote control extender? Added a new device to your audio-video system? Changed to a new remote?

Good luck with your problem...I hope you can work it out.

Lost remote control functions

Hi, The remote lost the code and needs reprogrammed, there are 8 code choices for a sanyo tv. Manually turn on the tv. On the remote, press the code search key till it lights, press the tv key, it will blink then stay lit. Aim the remote at the tv, keep it pointed at the tv and press the on/off key ONCE. When the tv turns off press enter. If you wait more than 3 seconds it will scan to the next code. So if you try it the first time and not all of the functions work correctly is when you would let it scan to the next one. Good Luck! Please rate my response.

No input channels

Universal remote control are normally programmed for basic functions, ie. chennel up down, volume up down, numbers, etc. This is even written in the manual that they do not guarantee that all functionality can be used. Here are your options: 1. Try all the codes that match your TV, there is a slim chance that the other code have the functionality that you need. 2. Buy the original model remote control. 3. If you know of someone that have the same TV, buy a universal remote control with 'learning' function and copy the signal from the original remote control. I have the same problems before. Now I use my Casio wrist remote control to copy the special functions such as A/V so that even if the original remote control is lost, I can still use these functionality
